MORE BAD NEWS FOR BOOHOO !!!

Rishi Sunak is set to extend business rates relief and the furlough scheme into the summer, offering further support to companies battered by coronavirus restrictions.

In his Budget next month the chancellor is expected to announce that the year-long business rates holiday for the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors will continue beyond the previous end-date of 31 March.

Sunak will instead issue his final report on a review of business rates, which will consider a potential online sales tax (rumoured to be 2% - 3%) to help boost high-street retailers, in the autumn.

Worth noting any Online Sales Tax would be based on Turnover (sales) and NOT on pre-tax Profits figures.

BOOHOO "DEAD CAT BOUNCE" WARNING
========================================

In finance, a dead cat bounce is a small, very brief, very short-term recovery in the price of a declining share (Boohoo). Derived from the idea that "even a dead cat will bounce if it falls from a MASSIVE great height"

Thereafter, the Boohoo share price continues FALLING again !!!

Actually, it is probably us, REVERSING our "short positions" this morning that put a plank under the Boohoo share price today. (Didnt you think it strange, we weren't gloating earlier.....ha,ha)

Too busy money making !!!

For us, today was not quite as PROFITABLE as the Boohoo share price falls on 14th January 2021, but the Bossman is definitely smiling today.

oh blimey, can you hear all the moaning, the complaining and the "it will be alright in the end" !!!

Just listen to all the "imaginary, hindsight, virtual share traders" who are obviously now claiming TODAY, they've bought another imaginary 4000+ Boohoo shares here, there and every where.

and naturally with "imaginary, hindsight, virtual share traders" they BOUGHT in, at the absolute bottom of the market.

DESPERATE TO SELL ???

Whether it's panic time or not, Boohoo's latest marketing ploy....... really smacks of desperation.

Only 5 days of trading left now until the Financial Year End and with a large Boohoo Warehouse in Burnley, full of unsold and unwanted Boohoo clothing, the "deeply discounting" continues.

The Tag Line of: UPTO 70% OFF EVERYTHING, implies an urgent need to shift stuff VERY QUICKLY.
but there is another EXTRA 10% OFF EVERYTHING on top of that !!!

SELL, SELL, SELL !!!!

THE EXPERTS’ VIEW............. BOOHOO PLC IS STILL A "SELL"
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Shore Capital (Stockbrokers) reiterated its ‘sell’ rating on Boohoo, despite the current momentum in the business, seeing ‘potential pressure on gross margins and rising central costs following the company’s admission that it needs to change its approach to the Leicester textile industry. We look for further clarity on potential wider investigations by other authorities before giving the company a clean bill of health.’

Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, pointed out there are ‘some notable headwinds to consider, all of which will push up costs. Customers returning fewer clothes helped boost the gross margin but Boohoo is now guiding for return rates to drift back to historic levels. Delivery costs have become more expensive for overseas markets and marketing spend is going up. The retailer will spend more on improving operations and IT.

‘If that wasn’t enough, there are the extra costs relating to actions from the recent review of its supply chain. Boohoo has pledged to improve its governance and be more focused on supply chain compliance, all of which will cost time and money.’

Mould added: ‘Boohoo has been under attack for some time by short seller SHADOWFALL which has now come out with more questions about the company’s actions.

For example, it wants to know the value of the claim being pursued by a class action lawsuit in the US relating to alleged “false and deceptive” advertising practices, and whether investors were made aware of the legal claim ahead of the £198 million share placing in May.

Come on derf ... you have to admit that this share has been up and down so many times ....

Analysts have called this share a “ play thing “ ....
Why would your only position be long ?

There will be more opportunities , just bank and wait ... don’t fall into the fomo trap on this share .
Walk away and wait .

I’m long in others but certainly not this dodgy company.
