21/9/2018 16:59 | Looking for opinions on my research. I've spent quite a while comparing Bango and Boku, both seem to have very good prospects and both deal with high profile clients. Given that forecast 2019 EBITDAs are comparable, what justifies Boku's valuation premium to Bango? | f15jcm
21/9/2018 09:36 | Yes I take it all back! Very pleased with the reaction. Like others have said it could have been seen either negatively or positively. Glad the market appears to be happy with the placing. | villarich
21/9/2018 08:52 | if anyone is wondering why there is huge volume and sells reported at 160p first thing well they're the placed shares being reported.. in total approx. 19m of the 25m thus far the updated major shareholder list should be interesting.. hoping Crystal Amber have taken part in the placing if i'm honest. | kalkaar
21/9/2018 08:13 | Yes gives a lot of confidence to the future. | amt
21/9/2018 08:10 | bloody hell that was fast.. obviously they had sounded out investors beforehand.. very impressive nonetheless! Stops the lingering uncertainty casting a shadow over the share price. so they wanted to place a minimum of 20m shares and they managed to place 25m. getting 160p for the lot does not mean existing shareholders are diluted in anyway.. nor will it mean a whole tranche of shares soon to be flooded in the marketplace What it does show is that there was an appetite to take them on in the market albeit at a small discount. We're not talking about new shares going to small investors.. 25m shares representing 11% of the equity is a big chunk to place.. the new investors will want to have seen evidence of the merits for the investment case before parting with their money.. my glass is half full.. nothing changed in my opinion. Still a compelling investment. gla dyor. | kalkaar
21/9/2018 08:06 | When down = a very successfull placing to make initial shareholders happy. Frankly, I am pretty much impressed by the way they handle it quickly and efficientlyThat means that new shareholders are happy to join massively at a price of 160 which +150% compare to IPO entry price and which means that it is very promising...Bravo Boku !! | thomas4billing
21/9/2018 07:54 | simplesimon I think Bango share price will go up buts its nothing to do with the original BOKU IP owners switching. They are the sort of investors involved in start ups so they work by funding from the start and then look for an exit once the business is fully established. It's as simple as that. I think BOKU share price will move sideways at around the 160p value in the short term. So we now know what value the big investors put on BOKU at its present time and happy with 1.60. | amt
21/9/2018 07:08 | 11% gobbled up just like that. | blusteradjuster
21/9/2018 07:04 | That's us down 12% today then | villarich
21/9/2018 00:06 | The original BOKU IP takers placing 20 million shares on the market must have felt that BOKU has reached a plateau and it is time to take their profit. Maybe they are looking at the opportunities presented by Bango as being a better place to place their investment. The first ones to sell out of BOKU might be able to hang onto some of their profit. They may feel that the time is right for switching over to Bango which is at a low point, the old adage being to sell high, buy low. | simplesimon1
20/9/2018 22:08 | They intend to have this all sorted by close of business Next Friday 28th Sept. That to my mind indicates they have potential interested investors wanting in.They are looking to place a minimum of 20m of their original backers shares. 9% of the total issued shares.Any shares that remain after placing from these investors will then be subject to a new 6 month lock-in (no sale) agreement.Outcome likely to be really interesting.. not least, who wants a stake but also what price they're prepared to pay for that stake. Will give a really good indicator on potential future valuation. | kalkaar
20/9/2018 21:39 | Some of the original investors wanting to realise the value of some of their investment in BOKU.As I noted on here on a couple of previous occasions given how tightly the shares are held was trying to understand how the institutions themselves could exit.. well here's an answer they've come up with collectively to ensure an orderly and managed process.. a placing. | kalkaar
20/9/2018 21:25 | What is that RNS about. Never seen anything like that before. | amt
19/9/2018 09:37 | amt, i have seen the article written by Simon Thompson (IC) and it is a little bit worrying that he was able to glean as much detailed information as he did from a direct call to Bango (directors).. makes you think why they didn't put that info out in the interims for the market.. that makes me sceptical because on face vale the results were nothing special.. if you believe the "transformational" deals BGO have apparently lined up then as you correctly state that definitely changes the outlook for the company.. anyway just my 10 cent.. I don't have a position in BGO but am naturally interested to see how they are progressing given they are operating in the same market. On that note, how they can say they are not in direct competition with BOKU is cobblers.. i personally don't like these kind of issues.. in my mind they give a red flag.. and if in doubt i stay out! anyhow good luck if you are holding seems the price has turned based purely on the new info. provided by ST. | kalkaar
18/9/2018 21:57 | I have changed my view on Bango from worrying that it was slowing down to the view that it's on track to keep doubling EUS for years ahead. Some potential transformational deals apparently. So Bgo about 2 years behind BOKU on EUS. So BGO could treble in that period if all other things are equal. DYOR but that's my view for what it's worth. | amt
18/9/2018 07:59 | Bango's results out this morning further confirm why BOKU out and out still the leader in the DCB market by a country mile.. ironically, some of the words used by BGO's CEO have a distinct similarity to the ones used by BOKU's John Prideaux ;) Bango market cap: ~£110m BOKU market cap: ~£375m Either BOKU is undervalued or BGO is overvalued if you compare the headline numbers from their recents interims. obviously BGO is proving there is room for both in the global market for DCB but it's size that matters and IMHO that's where BOKU's strength lies.. not to mention it's incredibly strong management team. | kalkaar
14/9/2018 15:52 | Very quiet those days... Is it the calm before the storm (Huge take off !!) ?? No reason to slow down the pace as all metrics are still very much present to secure a smooth and promising share price growth: Solid GAFA customers, always more mobile transactions than credit card transactions, new countries/mobile operators added every month by the big players, new product to be launched (Mobile identity ?), controlled and stable opex | thomas4billing
