Given the acquisition though, it would appear that they've generated £11.8m of positive cashflow in the last 3 months.

The Chief Exec's comments in the recent Final Results looked particularly confident :

"Bodycote's strategy is aimed at growing the business above and beyond the background growth rate of the global economy while delivering consistently superior value. The pace of execution of this strategy is gaining momentum and we enter 2012 in good shape."

Having doubled basic eps, it's good to hear that they are "gaining momentum"!

I like the way this stock more than reflects any bounce back in the market. I missed the bottom, as one does, but I'm sure there is further growth allowing for more temporary falls. I think it is the substantial monopoly in this field which is so encouraging. Just thinking of all those Chinese lorries!

A 12 year high, but not yet an all time one !!! Can't help but feel a decisive break through 400 - with successive closes above it - would be highly significant, if we get there, although I'm not complaining at these levels either !!!

1101 GMT [Dow Jones] FinnCap upgrades Bodycote (BOY.LN) to buy from hold after full-year results come in "stronger than expected above the top end of the market range." FinnCap is encouraged by the improved quality of earnings coupled with an upbeat outlook statement. "Net cash now provides plenty of scope to enhance organic growth prospects and boost growth through acquisitions," adds the broker. It raises the target price to 460p from 340p. Shares +2.1% at 398p
