The SK government wouldn’t be offering incentives/ grant funding support for drilling if the permits aren’t going to be granted ( illogical otherwise), so I see this as purely an operational execution process to get the mines working again. How it’s financed remains unknown but we’re talking modest sums in the bigger scheme of things.
Timing is great here in terms of what Gold will likely do over the next 5 years in my opinion.

I’ve just got some more and just about at my one million share target. I like this one on a number of fronts and think it’s got good multi bag potential.

Still a long way to go. We should be at least 4.5/5p whilst waiting for the permitting. After that, I can see a march towards double figures as we transition into a producer. Exciting 9 months or so ahead

Meanreverter, thanks, I should have spotted that. Quite disappointing that authors' can't even be relied upon for matters of a factual nature.

Bo Doodak — Your quotation from Frank Holmes' article is accurate: "Nearly 3.5 million people, almost a quarter of the entire country’s population, ... ". Unfortunately, Frank Holmes himself is not so accurate. In 1998, the population of South Korea exceeded 46 million. Arithmetic doesn't seem to be Frank Holmes' stromg point.

The Koreans seem to have a real affinity to gold - 1998 it was 'estimated that South Korean households held roughly $20 billion in gold'

'Nearly 3.5 million people, almost a quarter of the entire country’s population, voluntarily participated in the campaign. Queues of people—young and old, rich and poor—stretched for blocks outside special donation points, all of them answering the call to help their country. Yellow ribbons proclaiming “Let’s overcome the foreign currency crisis by collecting gold” could be found pinned to people’s shirts.'

Now that is what you call loyalty and self sacrifice.

Bluebird secured the opportunity for the South Korean mines from Momentum Resources (MR) who have been engaged with a number of projects within South East Asia over the past decade. The MR team are professional mine operators and have many years of experience in all aspects of mining and are based within East Asia. The team will join Bluebird and have been incentivised to achieve key project milestones as described in Appendix 1. Colin Patterson and Charles Barclay collectively own 23% of MR.

Oh I agree. It can take years in some jurisdictions. BMV is in a very enviable place, and as I've said many times before, should be valued at much higher - given the existing infrastructure and resource, and the fact that it's very little in terms of capital outlay to get the mines operational and producing once again. We'll no doubt get noticed by the market when we are at 10p...and still cheap.. ;)

BMV expects the permits in Q1 which would reinforce South Korea as a world class juridiction. Try and get a mining permit in Africa - takes years and so much corruption. Remember this is a mining permit not an exploration permit which are easy to get.

I fully agree that given what we know re the government being keen etc, permits should hopefully come swiftly and without problem. Nevertheless, BMV haven't got them...until they have..

The government is keen to reinvigorate the industry hence the incentives being offered. There are 1,400 old mines in Korea so huge potential! Ivanhoe did the last discovery that went into production. The geologist was Doug Kirwin who is also a Senior Technical Advisor to Bluebird.
