Exactly. Yes. There are only 21million Bitcoins. No more. And I think there are 100m satoshis per Bitcoin.

Understood....so satoshis are pegged to bitcoin value at any given time...and once purchased, their value could rise or fall in your wallet.....just like any currency..

Starting to make me wonder now, as there are only and will only ever be 21million Bitcoins in issue, then the widespread use of satoshis to buy millions and billions of pieces of online content (ie via satoshipay), then it could have the effect of sending the value of cryptocurrencies (tokens) rising exponentially without stopping.

The exchange rate risk I expect is down to the end user and will depend solely on the exchange rate for Bitcoin relative to your local country currency at the exact moment you fund your wallet. After that, the value of satoshis is fixed to the value of Bitcoin. Buy a load of satoshis, and they could end up being worth more as the bitcoin price rises.

Good question...

I assume on any given day, 400k satoshi would vary in price....who sets the rate?

Yes that was a transaction fee only to make the cash transaction. You wont be charged when using your satoshis to buy Content/articles. The seller of the content will pay the fee to satoshipay. For example if you pay the equivalent of 10p for a news article, the seller will keep 9p and they will give 1p to satoshipay. You will not incur any fees yourself, apart from on the initial cash transaction to put the funds Into your wallet. This is what I'm led to believe.

OK thanks.I'm just wondering who bears the exchange rate risk which exists in the transactions. The buyer, Satoshipay, or the content publisher.

The way it was presented to me was that having selected qty of satoshi I wanted, I was then given the choice of paying with bitcoin or paypal....selected paypal, paid 9 euros 6c for 400k satoshi....no bitcoin involvement at all....euros converted to sterling by paypal....

Whichever choice of payment method, bitcoin or paypal, you end up with satoshis....the currency then used for payment online...

Hope that helps...

So can I just clarify, when you pay Euros (via Paypal) which are then converted to 'Satoshis', are those then further converted to Bitcoin? Or if you choose to top up in Bitcoin, are those then further converted to Satoshis?

If the presentation goes well the buyers should be back before close and for some time imo this is such an early opportunity 😄

Tried out the concept this morning on benn.org....Meinhard Benn's blog site...

Half way down it asks you to pay 4k satoshi to continue....clicked, took option of 400k satoshi for around 9 euro...option then to pay using paypal or bitcoin....redirected me to paypal and processed transaction...

Blog opened up to continue reading and a floating icon appears at the bottom of the page saying I have credit of 396k satoshi....this icon should appear on any website that is satoshi enabled although I haven't gone to others yet....

Seems very easy to use and can see why publishers who are having advertising content blocked and consequently losing income would freely adopt this system....

I am a holder of BLU shares.....

All IMO dyor etc

I agree flash. Jim Mellon is still invested in SatoshiPay so it must have been Lorne Abony's decision. FFWD's loss is BLU's gain.

Managed to get some more early doors db. Very promising here and a nice % ownership of Satoshipay. (Although they have some good other investments, I can't help feeling it was a massive mistake by FFWD).
