LONDON (Alliance News) - Blue Star Capital PLC said that Nicholas Slater had built a 3% stake in the investment company in a transaction on Friday.

Slater built a holding of 59.8 million shares, with 1.88 billion shares in issue this represents a 3.18% stake in the company.

Slater's holding prior to the transaction was not disclosed.

On Tuesday Blue Star raised GBP500,000 through a discounted share placing of 178.6 million shares. The funds were for general working capital purposes as well as to support existing investee companies and for new investment opportunities.

In mid-October the company had said one of its investee companies, SatoshiPay, in which it holds a 31% stake, had launched a test site for its alternative cryptocurrency to Bitcoin.

Shares in Blue Star were 4.9% higher at 0.320 pence on Friday."

Onl have nothing except their advfn stake. Their cash is low and it's a speculative name change to gather interest to push a placing on through. The movement has been helped by very low number of issued shares, so very poor liquidity. Changing the name to include the word 'blockchain' shows their intentions, or their wanted public perception in that regard. However they absolutely have NO Blockchain Investment, nor the current finances to invest meaningfully in the sector. A great big pump and dump.. On the other hand, BLU has cash, it has several investments, one of which is definately going mainstream (Fingopay), and the other if it makes its niche as first mover (satoshipay) could be massive. BLU should really be many many times the value of ONL.

Interesting to see ONL announces its intention to change its name to include the word 'Blockchain' and it goes up 120%. I'm not sure what the company has within it but it has a market cap of £3.7m v. BLU's £5.4m.

BLU has £600k in cash, £300k of Sthaler and £1m+ of DTL...plus 31% of Satoshipay.

This computes down to an implied valuation of Satoshipay of just £11m!

If the RTO ever happens the world will wake up to this one....maybe the company should then change its name to 'Blockchain Nanopayments Plc'?
