29/1/2013 21:00 | A little research - outstanding loan is there but if not paid by the end of the month interest increases - Between Robertson + Blue square they own 50% of blue star - - 45mill shares in free float - Directors taking all salary in shares - Possibility of a change in direction? - - And out of all of it - Highland fund managers offered funding? A little strange here but options seem to be on the table. | tomboyb
29/1/2013 15:59 | Quick glance suggests that 130mill shares are held tightly V 175mill shares in issue - Robertson owns 20% + blue square 29% - any old timers here? | tomboyb
29/1/2013 14:25 | First post - noticed this tiddler with Nigel Robertson on board - no idea of how this has fallen from 2p to 0.30p - but will research tonight. | tomboyb
24/8/2012 14:46 | errollc:> Thanks for the update - Only just spotted. Just had a look at the Xen site - very much (imo) a Beta site with a lot of work to do but as you say potential. | pugugly
20/7/2012 08:32 | Thankfully Leaver's gone...he was utterly useless. He did nothing during his 4 years at the helm....aside from bleed the company dry. Maybe the new CEO can inject some life into this. Trading below NAV (30%), seems cheap enough to me. PUG, Nigel robertson now chairs one of the investee companies, Xen Group. This is a very exciting project, which you'll hear more of in the future. for now we should celebrate the departure of the CEO. | errollc
27/4/2012 11:24 | Continuing to fall - cannot see any reason to buy - Not sure how much of an umprovement new management are over the old bunch but they continue to dilute existing shareholders by being paid in continuing devaluing shares - Anyone know what happened to Nigel Robertson ? | pugugly
23/2/2012 12:38 | Got these as a punt on a rec from HB Markets on the back of the Overtis buy.. no research note, will keep an eye for one. Onwards and upwards | phsycho
01/2/2012 09:48 | Have looked at Overtis...looks interesting...not that anyone knows this share yet! It will become more interesting! | errollc
29/6/2011 10:19 | I like the fact the management are looking at enhancing value for shareholders by all means. Also interesting to see the investment in Xen, the social media company.....this could be an interesting investment?? | errollc
03/5/2011 07:06 | glad to see Noel Lyons on the board and Baisden Investments taking a stake....both are associates of john Mckeon at Premier mgt.....maybe this will become another shell used in mining/exploration? | errollc
03/3/2011 07:14 | The current management team have done nothing since they arrived a few years ago. There is an EGM which will replace them, which is interesting. One of the Directors, Noel Lyons is a co-investor with John Mckeon in Premier Management and was a founder shareholder in Niche Group! I reckon the plan is to sell the assets (which are half decent) and use Blue Star as a shell or something. Interesting time ahead. Also no-one knows this company, so when they get wind of what might happen... the shares will rocket. | errollc
01/3/2011 13:34 | Just started on this thread Tiddler to Watch in the times has given me losts of good share tips. Is it worth joining in. Is any body out there, 16th Apr10 30th June10 28Feb 11. You all have long lunch breaks. The shares are storming ahead. Something must be happening? any idears. | naviskram
28/2/2011 06:58 | Interesting announcement...looks like some shareholders have got the hump with Leaver. Not surprising given he's done nothing except draw a large salary for the last 2 years! Noel Lyons is proposed as a new Director...he's mates with john Mckeon (who invested in Niche, Premier etc.....)...maybe Blue Star will be used as a shell for future deals by Mckeon? | errollc
30/6/2010 14:43 | BLU research note - | rockafella2
16/4/2010 15:02 | Sandbank any chance of adding Bluestar's website to the header Anyone here a VCT enthusiast? | praipus
15/1/2010 07:35 | Good to have a decent broker on board now...not a bad move for such a tiny company. Keep watching. | errollc
12/1/2010 07:47 | This little share is going to start to get some decent PR. It invests in technologies involved in the Homeland Security Space. Homeland Security is going to be a problem throughout our lives (sadly) and Blue Star is the only way of investing in this sector. The new board here is amazing too...keep watching. | errollc
05/11/2009 10:05 | Long term seller cleared this morning.... | errollc
08/10/2009 06:49 | The management have granted themselves 'at the money' options. nice try! I thought the hoods had left when Kanabar and Robertson left the board! | errollc
11/4/2008 15:53 | I'm not sure Blue Star has any shells that have de-listed....tell us more? | errollc
08/4/2008 17:33 | The shares had a jump the other day....maybe people are getting wind of the launch of sharenow.com. This is a new social networking site, which looks great. Apparently it's being very well received. BSC has a small chunk of this for not much money....bloggers in the US are saying sharenow could be the next Youtube....certainly hope so! | errollc |
