03/8/2006 12:38 | glad to hear that W. I check MICEX & RTS + most of the German listings via yahoo.com most of them don't seem active, often with last trade several days ago. Clearly shouldn't be the case on such a large Bank group. Can I ask where you check Sberbank price? | jhan66
03/8/2006 12:25 | Sber up 12% since 21/7. Thats 50p onto NAV alone.. | woracle
03/8/2006 10:05 | NAV announcement tomorrow. Value @ 31/7, not been updated since 21/7 I'm hoping for a decent step forward. Won't get back to the £25 area yet but maybe we can add another £1 and then bring the discount down to 20% = £18.00 Credit Agricole, 9.5% holding seems to be up a few % Can't get accurate picture on Sberbank, 19% holding. Looks steady. | jhan66
11/7/2006 08:14 | good to see some asset recovery. Risen £1 /week for last 4 announcements though there share price is only up £1 in total over the period | jhan66
08/7/2006 13:25 | I bought heavily into the warrants (BPFV) in October 2005 and using a rising 7% stop-loss was taken out in the March dip for a tidy profit. Since then I have been looking for an opportunity to get back in and made a small warrant purchase two weeks ago but was soon taken out. All the Blue Planet ITs performed exceptionally well last year and through to March, but have underperformed since then. Their hedge fund was launched around this time (with the benefit of hindsight not the best timing for such a launch) and I believe that this caused the management team to take their eye off the ball as regards the trusts, and did not help the reputation of Blue Planet. The discount for BPFU is now 27.5% and that for BPW is 14.6%. As both have similar holdings I feel that a correction is imminent. Blue Planet Management bought a further 1% of BPFU yesterday and the price has risen compared to the two other BP ITs over the last three days. I believe that this is a good time to get in and I made a moderate purchase yesterday myself. As always the spread is rather a problem and so I have set my stop-loss at 7% of the bid price at the time of my purchase. The warrant price is still falling and I believe that there will be better opportunities to buy the warrants. I will look at the situation again if the unit price rises 15%. | tuckswood8
03/3/2006 12:59 | jhan66....that's confuses me too.....it really seems like BPFU is a good investment opp. | easy74
02/3/2006 15:38 | there has to be some realignement correction with BPW soon. It's virtually the same holdings but this one is -16% NAV & Worldwide is +12% NAV. (slightly worrying they both used to be -20% & above) | jhan66
02/3/2006 15:29 | Been in towards the peak at 22.85. share price been slipping gradually since then - hoping for a rebound soon as the NAV discount is increasing all the time. Any views otherwise? | slips
01/3/2006 11:34 | just bought back in on the basis of Sberbank rise | jhan66
21/2/2006 14:59 | Easy74 I use TDwaterhouse. Currently they have a deal for all new account holders which is 2 months unlimited commission free trading - coming to a lot of use for me | slips
21/2/2006 14:31 | Thanks cambium for starting the board. It's good that Blue Planet's performance is now being recognised. The significant improvement in trading volumes in BPFU the past two months benefits all holders. It may also be worth mentioning the low cost share dealing service that Blue Planet has arranged with Stocktrade (Brewin Dolphin). Details are at (Read the regulatory information and press GO) | foster
21/2/2006 14:14 | Natwest Stockbrokers (aka PD Waterhouse) deal in this security. | webcab2
21/2/2006 13:52 | wanted to buy some this morning but by Broker doesn't deal in this trust! Looks good value and blue planet seem to on a crest of a wave at the moment. Who did u use Slips? Might buy a small chunk in BLP after the drop. | easy74
21/2/2006 11:20 | Bought in @ 22.75 yesterday after having sold BLP. Never held BPW. Hopefully a right decision for a medium term gain | slips |
