08/4/2019 00:04 | Lith etc There's gas and there's gas. The gas that comes off with the oil, shown on twitter, which they've been flaring on a temporary permit, is currently a nuisance by itself, because there's not enough to justify a pipeline but it has to be handled in an environmentally-resp The non-associated gas that has been tested in old wells, from a different older rock formation, is called contingent resources because it needs further appraisal before it can be considered commercial. The good news is that if it is, then the associated gas from the oil can also be sold Like all of BLOE's assets, there's a fair degree of de-risking to be done before any success, but looks like they've achieved plan or better with the oil at both fields to date, so hopefully the track record will continue | ![]() spangle93
07/4/2019 23:35 | $1.2 billion valuation for JUST FOR THE GAS ALONE and just for West Rustavi alone ! Paul Hayward (BLOE): "The opportunity for us in West Rustavi is huge. We are now 100pc in over 600bcf of 2C gas resources. To put things into perspective, the assets that our new ventures team are looking at plays are 100-150bcf at a capex of $160m. We are based onshore in Georgia, and we are getting these wells down for $4-$5m with netbacks of c.$2-2.5/mcf. If you run that over an unrisked 600bcf resource, then you are looking at a project value of about $1.2bn." | ![]() lithological heterogeneities

07/4/2019 17:08 | Just thought I would share: they have enough storage for oil at WR for 22 days @ 325 bopd . So 7 days at 1000 bopd . They have an option to rent further storage, not sure how that works? Also if they discover commercial gas it would take 3/4 months to tie back and they have 3 options : large pipe , small pipe and local industrial plant . The above from contact with CEO . | ![]() croasdalelfc

07/4/2019 14:55 | It's already gone way past 900 barrels it seems which was to be done in 24 months! | ![]() goodbloke1
07/4/2019 13:49 | just to highlight what the CEO said in june 2018... £5m raised..doubt if they would spend that much in 9 months so no new funding required and revenue from oil testing soon "We are now fully funded to recomplete/reactivat "We are in the right address in the right country at the right time. The right address, because our existing licences, including West Rustavi where we have a 5% interest and the right to earn up to a 75% WI, lie in the heart of the prolific Kura basin and contiguous to the largest historical producing field (70,000 bopd) in Georgia. The right country, because Georgia is a low-cost, business-friendly nation with underdeveloped oil and gas reserves. The right time, because Schlumberger's entry is game-changing for Block Energy in terms of targeting the same play types and providing third party validation of Georgia's oil and gas potential. I look forward to providing further updates as we focus on realising this potential and at the same time monetising the multiple company-making opportunities we have identified across our asset base." | johncasey |
