a big chunk of blnx's revenue also came from acquisitions...
They bought Rhythm in Dec 2013...

The fy revenue forcast is $212m
Last yr revenue was $248m..

This is 1st fy of contribution from Rhythm...expected to be $50m...or 1/4 of fy revenue...

Their revenue is expected to fall against the previous yr..
Without Rhythm, the fy revenue would've been down $75m... or 30%...

Pinky pants - we would like negative posters to post on negative threads - is that too difficult to understand.

If you were Harold Shipmans son - would you stand outside an old peoples home shouting your dad was a legend?

It's kinda obvious the way to behave in life - those that make it look difficult, usually are difficult!

I'm sure that even in Swahili they only put a question mark after they have asked a question.

I thought Mike Lynch was reported as saying one reason for him stepping down was that blinkx was now an advertising company not a technology company? And Dan was reported in the recent note as suggesting that CORE probably influences Blinkx revenue and prospects less today than it used to as behaviour and the way Blinkx monetizes audiences that moved from search to discovery. "It's part of the pitch but it isn't the killer proposition anymore given the paradigm of discovery."

Loopy - now I know why you cut and paste. That last post was written in Swahili?

Keep up that level of reply and you'll be shifted to scrubbing Lolheimnis' balls in deep bunker duties, Barky.

pinky pants - I'm just a reasonable guy up against those with limited morals.

I don't park in disabled bays and I help the elderly across busy roads - it not law, it's what you do!

Footy.....indeed, yet another example of him twisting facts to suit his (paid for) narrative. I have no doubt that someone with his level of exposure to the Internet was fully aware of the competitive advantage offered by the AU/Blnx software.

B, I post very rarely these days, so as far as ads concerned , I'm not sure what you're referring to? I don't wok for anyone and am currently languishing in Southern Spain, (conducting, successfully so far, an attempt to make a modest living out of trading)

But wasn't that what ben'S blog was all about he couldn't understand how blinkX made its money so he put it down to dodgy dealing and not blinkx's software and them being run a lot more efficiently than the competition

Blnx 2016 is targeted to bring in $1 million revenue per head.We have the technology and Eco structure in place to deliver those results.Who said technology doesn't count! Our competitors would love to have blnx technology ?

Loaf blnx generate more revenue per head than any USA competitor. They use CORE that enables them to do so.

RF cost base has gone through the roof?

2013 $255M
2014 $469M

Hence the massive loss.

They employ 1200 people to get $400M revs. Blinkx employ 300 to get $200M!

Burst is way ahead of RF for ads served if you look at comscore tables. Should we take a view on our revs going up substantially? (without the costs)

A big chunk of revenues has come from acquisitions, buying x1 for $230m last year.

RF subsequently dropped 20% on the news so they may have overpaid.

The overall ad tech market is very competitive unlike say the TV arena, which is relatively new.

I'll try and cobble together a few thoughts over the weekend on blinkx's search engine, things could be changing.

..imho.
