Tipped in Techinvest at the weekend.

"the combination of new management and an integrated "one company" customer focused approach will be the catalyst that spurs the company to greater heights. Blick offers a service that is virtually unrivalled in the UK in its effective time management solutions."

I nearly took on a few of these myself recently, as I quite liked the look of the dividend. They have been on my watch list but as they didn't seem to be doing much, I left alone. Another bad decision! Anyway good luck.

At the AGM of Blick plc held today, its Chairman, Mr Alan Elliot said the
following:

"In my statement accompanying our 2001 Report and Accounts I referred to the
continuing economic uncertainty in the UK and USA. Although sentiment has
started to improve, trading conditions remain difficult in certain sectors.
However, our order book remains good and provided that business activity in our
market sectors holds up I am confident that our results for the full year will
be satisfactory."

"Nick Temple, the present Deputy Chairman, is assuming the Chairmanship of Blick
plc at the beginning of April. With his experience at IBM (UK) and his in-depth
knowledge of technology, he is well placed to assist Vanda Murray, the new Chief
Executive, who is continuing her review of operations."

Nick Temple comments: "There are a number of exciting new product developments
at Blick which, combined with our clear market focus, will benefit the company
in the medium and long term".

The divi yield is high and virtually secure - I am expecting confirmation of the reduced gearing and better times ahead. No reason for any downturn due to the economic climate. If anything, it should improve.

Not a firecracker but could easily move towards 300p and better if good news is confirmed.

I was in @ 204p on 1st Nov '01. They're currently off their Nov/Dec highs (approx 230 if memory serves). Its been quite a highly-rated stock throughout. This year the company's costs are down and similar or slightly better profit is expected. And the dividend looks as good as a cash-ISA.

Blick is up 15% or thereabouts since last mid Oct which is good (excellent in fact) but the Electronic Equipment sector is up over 30% in same period.
Does anyone have any good ideas why Blick underperformed the sector in this period??

It's suddenly started moving, after several "static" days - anyone know of any news to support this jump ?

There must be some news out there - as the number of trades doesn't quite justify such a reaction on the price - or do you know different .. ?

For what it's worth I have this one on my watch list ... with target price of £2.84 post results subject to eps actually being a clean 21.4p. Anyone else with a view of target price?
