Yes but when talking about Chromebook school market that's the section of the market. Inshot, filmora, etc are probably good enough for most school children. I can see elevate.io free getting a lot of kids interested that might pay for it later/ when older.

Anyway, I guess time will tell but the figure of 1 million school kids at $15 a month seems high to me. An interesting development nonetheless. Good to see progress on marketing.

No serious video editing platform

Adobe premiere Avid or Davinci
Absolutely no chance on a Chromebook.

Toy editors at the bottom of the market don’t count

Unfortunately inshot website appears to have no info about specifications. It looks like it is aimed at the lower end of market, looks a bit like Google Create. I bet it's not frame accurate and probably has watermarks on free to use version. elevate.io is for use by everyone from professionals downwards. If you are going for a career in video editing you would want to learn on a product designed for professionals.

Just wondering why people are claiming there's no video editors for a Chromebook? Can't people just use google play to install an editor like inshot?

Also, good to see the share price recovering 💪

It's a breakout!!

But AIM is dead, do breakout's get a reaction these days?

Maybe if it's a hyper breakout we will.

"£400 on a Chromebook now"

Plenty of used bargains on ebay circa £100

Hyper
That’s a great question of which I have painful experience

Many years ago I paid about £10,000 for an Apple Mac editing system (late 90’s?)

Had I bought £10,000 of Apple shares instead at time when I was told don’t buy Apple they are going bust (pre iPhone)that £10k of Apple would worth well over a million $ probably multi million

In a gold rush they say sell spades but better to buy shares in the Spade factory!

Now should I invest in a large screen Chromebook to make best use of elevate.io or should I buy more Blackbird shares. That is a difficult choice, £400 on a Chromebook now or £400,000 in Blackbird stock in two years time!

Not that I have £400 spare!

The US education numbers alone make BIRD a BUY. 50M users in the education sector. elevate.io is the only software that now makes sense for ChromeBook users.
If only 1 in 50 want to create videos on their Chromebooks that's 1M paying users. Even at a student rate of $15 a month that's gross income of $180M in a full year. The professional video producers will pay more to create their videos which embrace a wide spectrum of applications.

Even if in the first year of launch half of the revenue is absorbed in special costs it's hard to see less than 10p a share profit and that alone will put the share price in the £s range without any rating for the growth that will be coming down the track. I think SR/IM know that when the paying software is released it will go like a rocket because they are already priming its reception in the market... what will they hit after Chromebook?

Well I'm sticking with IM's "tens of billions", I'm ambivalent about whether that is £ or $.

Just 20k shares would transform my life. The hard part is not letting go before £60 per share.
