Good to see some new posters here! Welcome!

Edgey1967 - you are absolutely right in your connection.

FM currently has 2m players which equates to 9bn potential ad impressions or +$90,000,000 in ad inventory.

I think the launch on google stadia could double the players easily and the impressions naturally follow :)

Just seen that both GRID and FM20 games are both among the first games to be available on Google stadia when it goes live on 19th Nov. I think that both these games have the BIDSTACK SDK technology to provide native in-game advertising. Google Stadia should attract more gamers globally who dont have gaming consoles and therefore hopefully attract more advertisers.

I'd love to know what they have in their stack to avoid useless advertising.

Eg.: About five hours ago I consulted a site for spare parts for a car.
Since then I've been bombarded with ads from that outfit.

Do I really need to be informed, seeing as it's on MY initiative that they're here?

What I mean is that they need to find a way of either:
A. Telling me about a competing product/retailer, or
B. Better still AVOID THAT SUBJECT as I've already been there, done that,
got the T-shirt & trashed it.

Surely the value of an ad is its' getting sales, but regurgitating my own thoughts to me will get them nowhere, right?

So do they have what it takes in their stack to avoid pointless images?

They may well be behind closed doors GN.

I think Lewis’ strategy is to put the long tail of advertisers on ice and target the pareto of spenders.

Absolutely correct approach and imo a very cost effective growth strategy but I think massaging SH’s fears of a 100% growth rate of H2 revenues/ £52k is a strategic priority and quite possibly an existential threat if not foreshadowed or forewarned 🙈

A simple ‘has anyone seen ALL of our exclusive Ads in Grid??’ tweet would be enough for me :)

Gen, what makes you think they are not doing that already? We have no real information on how it is operating. maybe we should all approach our marketing departments/team and ask them to make enquiries re placing ads...

Affc thanks! I can’t understand why BIDS doesn’t promote the ads we’ve seen as examples of their work?

Otherwise it creates a little uncertainty in my mind but it’s public info and should be celebrated surely?

New post:

“ Bidstack's CTO, Francesco Petruzzelli and CMO, @Simon Gosling were amongst a panel of experts interviewed by eMarketer for this comprehensive study into
Mobile In-Game Advertising.
With gaming shifting to mobile, developers are looking to monetize their games through advertising, and advertisers are realizing that mobile games attract players from nearly all demographics.

Gonna give the report a miss though 😆

And I think I’ve found that reference AFFC spoke about:

“Here's a first look at gameplay footage from Codemasters' GRID 2 - it looks incredible! Our tech exclusively enables advertisers to buy native advertising space within the gaming environment, we can't wait for the launch in September 🎮🏎️

Posted 7 months ago so before they knew the date would be pushed back.

Nina Mackie posting interesting things:

“Good to see this rolling out into Gaming to target audiences of all ages :) #GetInTheGame #Bidstack”

And Charlotte Cook with a post too:

“I will be attending Game Connection in beautiful Paris next week 🇫🇷

Let me know if you will be there to meet and chat about Bidstack Group PLC native within game advertising solutions 🎮

#GamecoEurope19

#getinthegame #gamingindustry #videogames #gamesindustry”

Good to see them both getting their feet under the table.

As for the RNS... they’ll be like buses at this rate!
