Yes they often aim to buy when they are cheap.
I would be disappointed if BIDS was taken out early.

Good spot and not out the question DAFAD - link through Simon Gosling.

Spotted this on SkyNews about it:

Sir Martin Sorrell's S4 Capital to raise £100m for next wave of takeovers

“Future acquisitions will focus upon areas such as programmatic media”

The larger buys are matched with sells and could be the start of a share swap.It will be interesting to see if we get a TR-1 as the swapping continues. Bids have money in the bank and are expanding rapidly and the 3 into 1 is very interesting and something I have been known to post about in the resource sector. Do we have the triumvirs looking to take full control of Bids?.#Triumvirate

First off an apology to LEWIS Sherlock! Been spelling his first name incorrectly in the last couple of posts! Tut tut!

Haven't visited the BIDS website for a while but note quite a few names in the "Bidstack Parters" section when you scroll down:

I know the following have been mentioned in the press or by research here: Sega, The Drum, Penguin Random House, Grid, Sports Interactive, Domino's Pizza, Dirt Rally 2.0, Codesmasters, Football Manager 2019 and perhaps Vodafone.

However, I am not sure I rememeber any of these and there are some logos without names that I am not familiar with: NHS, iOS, Bioflow, Tower (can't read rest!), Badu Sports, Cricket Captain 2019, Ewe Move (sales and lettings), Homeless World Cup Foundation, SM19.

Look forward to the "Bidstack Gallery" showing some of these case examples. Coing soon apparently!

PS. Did just find the Badu Sports connection:

PPS. Just found Bioflow Sports too (scroll down to bottom of the page):

Looks like Football Manager 2019 will have a lot of BIDS related adverts in it at this rate. Not sure how much revenue they will receive from such small companies though.

And finally when Derick Wise has a connection like this...

Who knows where we’ll end up!!

This business isn’t just built on tech, it’s built on a network of highly incentivised industry heavyweights. Agree RoleyBirkin... Bob you’ve stole the show today.

P.S Luke great posts as always.

Good night all!

Dentsu is like getting 100 clients in one go. If a fraction of their clients spend as little as 60k each the 6m is achieved without breaking a sweat.Just a few, we've already seen Adidas ads in football manager. Maybe that was a little test campaign...AB InBev, adidas, American Express, Burberry, AT&T, BT, Burger King, Calvin Klein, William Grant & Sons. IBM, Camelot, Chevron, Diageo, Disney, Enterprise, Estée Lauder, FedEx, GEICO. GM, Gucci, HBO, Hallmark, Huawei, Intel, Marriott, Microsoft, Mondel?z, Nike, Northrop Grumman, P&G, Coca-Cola, Dell, Philips, Subway, Target, The Clorox Company, The Kraft Heinz Company, Total, United Airlines, Visa, Warner Bros and Crayola.

Following the thrust of the Shareprophets article, but considering FY results, did JD specify £5.9M on the Vox podcast - or elsewhere?

If no, then he can assert that BIDS management had a different number in mind ....and they had hit that target. (though I would take an extremely dim view of this)

if yes, and it transpires they will fall short, then BIDS do need to issue an RS saying same as this is material news.

Another example of Miles Jacobson pulling the strings.. I called it before and JD made special mention to them boys when SI re-signed.

There is no one more invested than miles commercially at 75% share of the pie 😁

Thanks for the education GN – Post 10974, I wasn’t aware of that (bit of a novice on the trading front I’m afraid).

Aiden – Post 10976 if that question was aimed at myself, I’m afraid I don’t know Alice (unless that is a reference to me being in ‘Wonderland217; 😊 ).

Monygenxyz – Post 10978 – thanks for the welcome.

Angel333 – Post 10986 – thanks for the education, I genuinely was not aware. This is very helpful.

I am not a savvy investor by any stretch of the imagination (particularly if you look at my losses elsewhere) so very happy to learn from SOME of you. The others, I just ignore on the whole!!!

The basic premise I invest by, is do I believe this company can be a Billion Pound company and if so at c£4 a share will I really care if I paid 27p or 6p? Also, is the company in a better place today than it was when it was trading at just short of 40p per share (and I believe it is).

Personally, speaking I don’t look at this on a micro level because if I did, I lost a shed load today. The way I look at, is I just bought another 126k shares with the potential to make £3.76 per share!! Whoo hoo!! Thanks

Generally, I am very happy with the progress of BIDS and for my part, if the share prices drops any lower, will look to top up some more.

JD was extremely confident in the last podcast, there has to be huge deals already done. James, The all star board, pubguard, dentsu, the tradedesk, appnexus, SI and codemasters all know what's going on. We've just got to hang in and have patience. We're the last to know but with the great research being done on this board we're finding the clues.

To Melody from Martbmth on LSE to give you an overview and to stop any chance of anyone wasting £70 a year on trashy share talk:

“The article is just a stunt to try and get subscriptions and boost his profile. You can view a few articles free if you sign up, which I did a while back for a similar hatchet job out of interest.

He quotes JD on Vox talking about Peterhouse targets and that he is comfortable and not reset the number. Then says that he must have known H1 was off track so was misleading investors. I think JD would argue that he was talking about full year targets, which is something he has reiterated in the last couple of weeks he expects to hit.

TW also demands that BIDS issue an RNS to state that 2019 forecasts 'simply will not be achieved'. Something that he can't know. He doesn't mention any of the recent huge deals on the demand side, the deal with Unreal engine, Football manager, Grids, launch of SDK, stadia etc.

From my perspective JD has delivered on everything he has said and more in terms of putting everything in place. I will admit that exactly how they achieve the target in H2 is a bit of a mystery at the moment (we can only speculate) and does require a leap of faith that he is being realistic and honest about H2. But I think investors have no reason to doubt him, and the BIDS board would be unlikely to sign off on any kind of indication of performance that would be unrealistic.

Without breaking NDAs, in the next public interview, it would be good (IMO) to hear James talk more generically about how the revenue stream will ramp up in Q4 and broadly speaking the kind of areas that will be scaling to achieve this. I don't doubt it's there, it would just be good to understand more. But it's clear that there is a huge amount that's been going on, yet to be announced, that he can't discuss and that certainly TW won't be aware of.

If BIDS do hit target this year, no doubt he'll issue a public apology (!) If they don't then of course questions will be asked of JD.

I've got a feeling we'll see an announcement(s) on the supply side next.“

and just to put that shareholding in perspective, on his £10.3m holding every penny change in the share price is a gain or loss of £412,605.62...if he's not stressing, there is absolutely no reason for us to....

Shareprophets providing a buying opportunity?

BIDS interims were poor and I was convinced there was no way that they will meet year end revenue targets. Then I listened to the Vox podcast where JD re-iterated a number of times that the £5.9M would be achieved.

Why do I believe him? Well 41,260,562 reasons actually. That is the number of shares in BIDS that JD owns (according to II) @ some 17% of the company. Now either JD is shooting himself in the foot, and destroying his own wealth and company....or he has calculated the forthcoming revenue based on forecast earnings visibility from existing contracts.

I don't have access to Shareprophets article - can anyone specify other allegations apart from questionning likely revenues?

Not even the gang are stupid enough to short bids from this level, personally I think they're facilitating a buyer. Paid to trash. You go to the bottom dwellers for a job like this, so it makes sense for them to do it. Felt like there was a big buyer on results morning, this could be a continuation. Trying to scare a few more out before news comes.
