So... Not what any of us were expecting, even the trolls.

I'd have expected a far bigger drop in SP, but it's holding up relatively well so far.

This is probably because the market can recognise 1) the unique opportunity of Bidstack's tech within 2 huge markets of advertising and gaming (you don't need a big slice of the pie to make big revenue) 2) the work which has been done in laying the foundation for future revenue growth.

Despite the great work that has been done, James and the board are treading on thin ice with regards to trust and credibility on the numbers.

Nobody expected revenue as low as £26k, and - I may have missed it - but I don't remember a clear and transparent statement that revenues were not a priority for H1 2019, and that meaningful revenue was not expected. I'm pretty sure that statement could have been made and would have provided complete clarity to the market.

They are saying that the FY 2019 revenue estimate from Peterhouse is still achievable - that seems highly unlikely at the moment, unless the testing phase is now officially finished and they are 'open for business'? That is a key statement in my opinion, and they will basically lose the trust of investors if the FY 2019 figures are another big miss.

The forward looking statements are bullish, as you would expect, but with such a low revenue figure, the company has very little margin for error from now on. Let's hope the positive newsflow continues, and that can translate into revenue ASAP.

The valuation is sky-high respect to revenue so they have to keep all the other positive momentum going.

Hazl - BIDS chart suggests sell now into the bounce back up to 22p. After the 3month Top formation the breakdown through 25p suggests a 15p target...

Angel - I agree.

I think JD is treading a very dangerous path. With the SDK only recently going live, and no revenue 'in the bag', it must be 'a hope and a prayer' that they can deliver revenue of £5.9M in 2019. Draw your own conclusions why they did not announce Q3 revenue today.

With so little revenue, BIDS had the chance to kitchen sink today, indicate a revised revenue expectation for 2019 ... be very conservative and then over-deliver. Instead we actually have "but believes that market expectations for 2019 revenues remain achievable". So what is the rationale behind this statement.

I'm not expecting to see a spreadsheet with the clients where the SDK is employed, expected views, expected clicks, revenue per click etc. However I would like JD to put some time and effort in communicating his explanation to substantiate his assertion that 2019 revenues remain achievable. Maybe JW can ask some pertinent questions?

Until we get a better feel for this, IMV BIDS remains a punt rather than an investment. I can see a scenario where we get lots of nice RNSs followed by a 'missed revenue' at FY results. Seems to me the market has been very forgiving this time.

money - unfortunately, I am not thinking £1m for this year now. Cannot be trusted and we have all been let down....

Draper needs to clarify the position and give a Q3 update, especially around reveunue.

I think we should all drop revenue expectations for the time being.

Focus on what is being built.

When you see an apartment being built you don’t look and expect it to provide rent until it’s completed.

They had a big push last year on getting £300k revenues - I remember it on LinkedIn. Surprised that they didn’t roll over some of them contracts.

I still do not expect £5.9m.

I agree Girdz......
How can they get £317k for the end of 2018 but only £26k of testing revenue for the 6 months to end June.
Something seems wrong.......
and why no update on Q3 so that shareholders can see the progress, and surely there must be significant progress if Draper is sticking with the 2019 forecast of £5.9m
Not enough information provided..... and the trust has gone now.

Well this is what happens when you hide bad news:

“During the period we made the strategic decision not to prioritise the acquisition of new games and additional advertising inventory for two reasons. First, this strategy gave our technical development and product teams the space they needed to carry out the significant development work outlined below. Second, it meant that we were not disappointing major video games developers and publishers by having to hold off filling their advertising inventory while necessary development work took place. This approach has had an impact on first half revenues but will yield longer term benefits”

”bad impact on first half revenues

So they held off getting new customers.

No one saw that coming!

That could allow competitors to step in. I hope it’s true and they didn’t simply fail to get as many new customers as anticipated.

No successful company willingly avoids getting new business!

Be very careful with this lot. A company driven by the nerds will almost definitely fail.

Not read results properly yet but I'm confused about revenue. Surely FM alone generates more than 26k after all that's where the 300k came from in 2018s full year?

How will they hit £5.9m in one Q and if so then next year should be profitable if they carry on hitting those quarterly figures? Why say 2021 and not 2020. Seems odd.
