10/7/2019 20:22 | Prepare to race #LikeNoOther whenever you feel like as GRID drifts its way onto Stadia. Stoked for @gridgame to be a part of our lineup! Fantastic to see Stadia promoting GRID! | parob
10/7/2019 16:22 | Thanks for posting Parob, the grid tweet is very impressive. I'm not a gamer (at least since Lemmings...), but I think I'll be playing Grid when it is released and recreating my teenage years. The Ads in the game look exceptional, if BIDS are behind that, then Unicorn is understating the potential here. Very happy investor and looking forward to seeing this play out (if you'll excuse the pun). | griffin81
10/7/2019 15:45 | RP, "Bidstack has developed unique technology that can place adverts into natural spaces within video games across numerous platforms. This service could, for example, see it put promotional material onto anything from a virtual billboard on a building or vehicle in an open world or cityscape to a banner or flag by the side of the road in a rally game or a scrolling banner found at the edge of a pitch in a football simulator." I still feel that is limited and basic ...though fantastic at the same time. ..part of the problem of teaching design and speculative futures is always wanting to stretch and explore the possibilities and potentials...who needs to put sponsorship on F1 cars ( in real life) when you can put them on cars in games with a variety of pricing points. I would also look to see how the most successful gamers could demand their own sponsorship deals on the cars they drive in games - the possibilities when you think of it deeply are endless....i hope bidstack have someone doing the blue sky thinking like this not just the tech side.....maybe they can give me a job!! | global nomad

10/7/2019 15:09 | thanks Parob, i've had no response / info on whether ads are only billboard type or also on car/clothes etc, but watching a car sponsor sliding toward you must be desirable | global nomad

10/7/2019 13:54 | Yeah I know, I was just reminiscing about the bad old days. I'm an avid gamer and play PUBG a lot (the precursor to Fortnite) but still suffer occasionally from someone having zero lag compared to my minuscule lag. | zagrosfold
10/7/2019 13:43 | Zagros - have you played a game since quake 3!!!hahaBroadband connections moved on a bit since then pal, even with out 5g. | girdz
10/7/2019 13:42 | I agree with 5G a whole new world of possibilities opens up for everything though in esports zero lag is essential. The good thing with bids is that lag has no effect on their offering. They will sign deals with all gaming flavours. It's a massively complicated thing to get right but Bids seem to know what they're doing and have the very best of advice. Wish I could buy more but I've restricted myself here to 15% of my portfolio until excellent news drops when I will reassess my weightings. | zagrosfold
10/7/2019 13:34 | In certainly was not apologizing to you niggle! And will take no offence at your comments. | stoaty1
10/7/2019 13:27 | It’s looking as though good news is on it’s way after a quiet period. All aboard 🚀🚀 | moormoney
10/7/2019 13:18 | 5g will change the way we use the internet. Self driving cars, robots carrying out human theatre operation. There will be no lag | danatkins
10/7/2019 13:04 | zagros, 56k dialup...now you are showing your age...ha ha ....this is why 5G is going to change everything. it will be a huge step change in the speed and quality of data services and will allow mobile gaming without lag. We'll also remove hubs and data connections at home and office because the 5g wifi is all we'll need ( security not withstanding) ...everything is going to be streamed.. | global nomad

10/7/2019 12:20 | Good to see BIDS are also attending this event from the link sja123 just posted. The team seem to be out and about so let's hope they can make some deals down the line: | lauders
10/7/2019 11:44 | Google Stadia and the other streaming services to be are only after the casual gaming market. The serious, competitive gamers would never use it because you have to have a level playing field and any lag, no matter how small would put you at a disadvantage so using the internet isn't reliable enough in my opinion. I remember playing Quake 3 online and having to aim ahead of the other players positions in order to hit them because they were using ISDN lines and I was only on 56k dialup. I think Google et al are hoping that streaming will revolutionise gaming like the Nintendo Wii did, attracting people who would never usually play video games but I'm not convinced. However Bidstack will be hugely successful because of the amount of backing they are getting from the big guns of gaming and in that incestuous world it's not what you know but who you know imo. Every gaming company needs to maximise revenues and this is a golden opportunity for them. Bids are doing everything right and have already got a foot in the door with Stadia. I really hope Google sees the light and just buys Bids for a few billion to snuff out the competition. | zagrosfold
10/7/2019 10:49 | In all honesty if you look at how Spotify and other streaming services have destroyed songwriting earnings, one must assume that Stadia may well do the same. Streaming games will mean less money for publishers, but ironically, more potential money from advertisers. If songwriters could legitimately earn more money from inserting ads in ther songs then what do you reckon? They would right? Clearly, they wouldn't as no one would listen to the songs. However with gamiing it's different. Ads can be inserted into games and gamers would expect to see them just as they would at a live event. Great for Bids I would say. | niggle
10/7/2019 10:41 | Scroaty Well done, they needed to hear that apology from you. I did too, thanks. 'Charidee' was a word coined by Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse when they performed as the DJs Smashy & Nicey. It is used generally as a reference to anyone who tells everyone how much they do for charity (whilst probably doing very little). The greatest philanthropists never shout about what they do, just to be absolutely explicit. You will never win in your pathetic attempts to shame me. Anyway - onwards, we are up. Building a strong team. | niggle

10/7/2019 06:55 | thanks to market gem above this is very informative 'Verizon: Verizon Media Group had $1.8 billion in revenue, down 7.2%. Declines in desktop advertising continue to offset growth in mobile and native advertising. ' | hazl
