It wasn't a director. It was 3% holder, Ann Gloag.

Directors still holding all their shares. The CEO has a significant 20.75% of the company equity so he is closely aligned with shareholders and the ups and downs of the share price will affect him financially more than anyone else.

So he's very clearly motivated to do what it takes to make the share price go up.

The story has only just begun here.

David Marshall Retweeted Bidstack
#bids #bidstack - That's some appointment! @King_Games (think @CandyCrushSaga) was bought by Blizzard / Activision (think Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Diablo) for $5.9 billion. Imagine this opens many more doors & brings significant experience of working in $billion companies

Your welcome stoaty1....although it appears I misinterpreted the gentleman's name. It seems it's Moritz Natalina....so from Mr Draper on Linkedin originally, it's now announced by Bidstack on Twitter....

Sigh.......

Appointment of N Moritz

Good Morning

I noticed our CEO James Draper announced on Linkedin the appointment of Mr N Moritz as Head of Products.

Mr Moritz would appear from his background to be an excellent appointment with his previous experience with King and Activision Blizzard and will add greatly to the Bidstack team. I wondered therefore why this was not announced to the market via RNS.....

As a shareholder in Bidstack and a shareholder in companies generally over many years, I believe most would chose to inform the wider market of this sort of news.....especially as we are a new listing. I believe good communication is equally as important as good financial results going forward and am confident of my investment here in any event.....but I think our company would benefit greatly from all positive communication with shareholders and the market and I look forward to hearing many positive announcements over the coming weeks......and for our board to take every opportunity to raise Bidstack's profile.....

I look forward to hearing from you

I will post any reply here..........

You could always contact him directly and suggest it if you see it as an issue.

I don't think James needs to "ramp needlessly".....but it would be nice if he let the market know through the correct RNS channels when a significant appointment is made! In my experience, pretty much all companies would be advised to do this by their nomad...it could be construed as market sensitive surely....especially with this guys background and experience...

If you are only going to inform the market a couple of times a year at results....it's going to be slow to catch on here I'm afraid.....the twitter presence is only speaking to those who know of them already.....RNS are read daily by most investors and would bring more recognition of the possibilities here to a wider audience surely....

Just my opinion....not one trade yet today....would it be like that if everyone knew of this appointment?

We do know things are building nicely in background, gives us all an opportunity to buy some cheap shares in my opinion, James is not opting to ramp needlessly.

That said, anyone looked at this guys previous employer? There are some serious games produced by them including Call of Duty series. It’s a very good foot in door.

One of, if not the, most exciting shares around, when news does land and herds catch on this will fly. Add in small free float, actual revenues and a unique product it really is a no-brainer at these levels, make most of it whilst it lasts.

Also:

"Newzoo, the leading provider of market intelligence for the global video game industry, forecasts that 2.3 billion gamers spent $137.9 billion during 2018, an increase of 13% over 2017. Analysts at the Amsterdam research outfit believe global revenues will surge to $180 billion by 2021, a 10.3% compound annual growth rate."

--

2.3 billion gamers spending $137.9 billion!

What a massive market for advertisers. And what an opportunity for BIDS as the middleman, displaying in-game ads on behalf of those advertisers for games publishers like Codemasters.

Interesting article hazl.

"The video game industry is a perfect cloud infrastructure candidate. Publishers embraced digital early. Game titles are now distributed online, and many companies have found a lucrative business model monetizing players’ time with in-game advertising, and the sale of virtual items like extra lives and gameplay hints."
