24/6/2021 13:00 | Nice rns today. Very high grades. Next step using an excavator to target larger areas, very cost effective. So much to this company one day the valuation will be far far beyond what it is today. | the manini

24/6/2021 08:59 | Best to set limit sells sometimes :) if they trigger great, and it saves having to let greed stop you from making a decision. I normally break a sell down at a few levels. I only trade a % of my holding but it has served me well doing that on a lot of shares over the years. | wolfcub
24/6/2021 08:15 | This is actually a goodish time to buy. I think i have pretty much worked out CBs ramping cycles and for sure he will be coming out with a series of ramps for BZT (and his other companies) that may push us back up to 0.40 The question is knowing when to come on and off the Colin Bird 'merry-go-round', last time i missed the chance to come off at 0.4 due to work but i'll be ready this time. | copperz
24/6/2021 06:53 | I think there is another company in the area as well Stig, but I’m on the train and Signal not that good :) | wolfcub
24/6/2021 06:50 | I *did* say on Monday that he would start ramping news across his companies in response, didnt I? It started with a failed attempt to ramp XTR which ended up with a decline in the SP, now this with BZT. So when we bought Metrock (which he is a director of) from Tiger (which he is chairman of) we were told in the RNS it had "drill ready" sites- this is clearly nonsense. This is just more classic CB sidestepping, where he jumps from project to project to generate RNS to keep investors happy, and the actually forward movement doesnt happen in any. Meanwhile, he continues to draw salaries from his multiple companies and lives the luxury life in UAE. What we were waiting for was the assays from Zambia- if you recall, he hurriedly started doing some test drills there and hurriedly came out with some "incredible" hand-held results- the actual lab assays are 1 month late. Surely in this market, if Mankayan is so good as he claims, he should put it on the market? The announcement of the sale alone would rocket the SP- but that would make PIs money and would go against the habit of a lifetime... | copperz

24/6/2021 06:46 | This is their neighbor Stig “ Geological setting: The target for manganese mineralisation is manganiferous shale horizons located on the contact between the Taupone Group and the underlying Black Reef Formation. This geological setting is similar to that of the Giyani Metals Corp manganese occurrences on their Kwgakgwe Hill (K-Hill), Otse and Lobatse projects which are located just a few kilometres off the Kanye property. The most significant of these (K-Hill) comprises a manganese-rich black shale formation within the lower Taupone Group containing an Inferred Mineral Resource of 1.24Mt @ 27.3% MnO at a cut-off grade of 8.9% MnO prepared in accordance with Canadian National Instrument 43-101. (As reported by Giyani Metals Corp. in April 2020).” | wolfcub

24/6/2021 06:38 | Work Completed Reconnaissance field visits were made to several of the known areas of high-grade manganese mineralisation on PL129/2019. The aim was to conduct initial site visits to the main prospects, several of which were poorly constrained and documented in the limited historical records, as it is about 50 years since the last significant exploration work in the area. In the interim, the recorded prospects have become overgrown and difficult to locate. Where found by the Company, preliminary mapping and prospecting was carried out and a total of 40 confirmatory grab samples was collected for laboratory analysis. Two visits were paid to the Moshaneng borrow pit close to a main road, where material has been excavated for road construction and where previous rock sampling had indicated high manganese grades. In addition, the historical prospects at Mheelo, Loltware and near the Moshaneng talc mine were re-discovered, prospected and grab sampled. More detailed mapping and sampling was possible at the Moshaneng borrow pit where active excavation for road material had exposed new zones of interest. In the borrow pit manganese mineralisation sits directly on top of a dolomite unit and is concentrated in erosional channels/Karst structures. A detrital manganese-rich layer of cherty boulders is also evident. Several grab samples of material from boulders and breccia zones in locations up to 400m apart assayed >50% MnO, up to a maximum of 67.18% MnO, which compares well with previously reported results. At the Mheelo prospect, about 7km east-southeast of the Moshaneng borrow pit, a one-metre thick layer of manganese mineralisation was reported historically. The site of old exploration trenching has become heavily overgrown, however at least one 100-150m long trench was successfully re-located. Grab samples from manganiferous pebbles/boulders in the area of the trench assayed up to 68.01% MnO. Considerable clearing of scrub and further excavation will be required to facilitate geological mapping and more systematic mapping. At Loltware prospect, half way between Moshaneng and Mheelo, there are historic reports of manganiferous chert outcrop and banded iron formation (BIF). Although the old exploration trench was not relocated during the Bezant site visit, two samples of manganese-enhanced boulders were found which assayed up to 34.73% MnO, suggesting that the source is close to the area visited. To follow up the success of the site visits in relocating the historically recorded high-grade manganese occurrences, the Company plans to return to the sites with a mechanical excavator to clear and trench the targets in order to facilitate detailed geological mapping, prospecting and more systematic sampling, with the aim of identifying shallow drill targets. Consideration will also be given to geophysical surveying to trace the mineralised zones laterally under thin overburden/cover rock. | wolfcub
24/6/2021 06:34 | "The reconnaissance prospecting and sampling work has given exciting indications of potential for high-grade manganese deposits suitable for upgrading to high-purity for battery manufacture. The extent of the area containing manganese mineralisation at the Moshaneng Borrow Pit has been expanded considerably as a result of our work, reinforcing our original thoughts regarding the potential in that area. We now intend to to carry out a programme of pitting and trenching to lead us towards the best targets and help optimise a drilling programme." | wolfcub
24/6/2021 06:34 | · Up to four historic manganese occurrences were successfully located and sampled in the field within an 8km-belt · 40 grab samples were obtained which assayed from traces up to high-grade results of 67.18% MnO occurring at the Moshaneng borrow pit and 68.01% MnO at the Mheelo prospect | wolfcub

23/6/2021 22:48 | "Both BZT and GLR have performed spectacularly badly, certainly in the years I've been following them, their mode of operation, skipping from one prospect to another and seemingly incapable of monetising anything and continuing to exist only by repeated placings seems to indicate a management that is there to maintain a lifestyle rather than to build anything of value for shareholders. That maybe down purely to age and lifestyle options but certainly to incompetence and greed" Well thats how it works, he keeps on finding new carrots to dangle in front of investors. A new ramp, a new interview with Zak Mir, a new purchase, a new assay- he always seems to release these just as impatience crescendos. The long awaited assays in Hope were mediocre and so he suddenly buys Metalrock (which he AND his finance director are directors of) from Tiger Royalties (where Colin is Chairman). He claims it is drill-ready...then tumbleweed. When people's frustrations were growing with Bezant- he suddenly has some rushed mining in Zambia on the cards with some great handheld assays- says the lab assays will be back end of May...and we never hear anything again. His companies make sidesteps and or steps forward (following his ramping) then step backwards (when he inevitably goes quiet) I think people are waking up to this. There are loads of AIM companies which are lifestyle companies. GBP oil is one classic. You can make a fortune on AIM but lets face it, many of the companies are highly speculative and serve to furnish director lifestyles. | copperz
23/6/2021 14:43 | Totally agree wet - age has nothing to do with ones ability and you only gain knowledge etc by age/ experience. The maths is also bllx in those posts as something cannot drop more than 100% or it’s zero 😂 but it doesn’t have such an negative impact - and our resident saddo doctor enjoys nothing better than bashing CB - | wolfcub

23/6/2021 13:16 | Yes that's right fp, age can affect one's view on all of those things. The point is that its down to the individual to choose, it's not for someone else cast judgement that because you are a certain age you shouldn't be doing something or may not be good at it based wholly or partly on your age. Judge the facts, not the person. Do you think Warren Buffett (90) struggles with motivation? | wet your knot
23/6/2021 13:01 | Of course age matters it has plenty to do with ability to achieve, their energy and primarily their motivation in life and that I suggest would be to place more emphasis on ones own wellbeing/comfort. | fireplace22

I think in total it is 27 companies. You can find the full list and directorships, again, on MarketScreener. You can see a pattern emerge. Criticism and impatience mounts on LSE/advfn/twitter/em If anyone ever wondered for the slow progress of his companies over the years. Then you pretty much have the answer here. 27 companies- around 7 of them he is the CEO/Chairman…. You can also understand how overlapping his investments are. Take BZT, which is by no means a cash rich company, it doesn’t even generate income. After a mediocre copper drill assay, out of the blue they bought a manganese company Metalrock (which he was director of) from another company Tiger Resources (which he is also director of). Another of the directors of BZT (I think Finance Director), was also a director of at least one of the other companies. Meanwhile, 5 months after….nothing has been heard about any plans to develop the supposed lucrative ‘drill ready’ manganese sites. I would double check every acquisition he makes to see if it touches on the web that is his holdings. I just discovered marketscreener but I will be using it to check out every CEO/chairman in future. Prediction- I am 99% sure that the next week or two will be full of ramping interviews and RNS...watch this space. | copperz |
