Molyneux is one of the most interesting living philosophers you could hope to come across, anyone who fancies learning a lot about a lot should check out his channel

Stefan Molyneux, host of of Freedomain Radio and Jeffrey Tucker, editorial vice president of the Ludwig von Mises Institute, a think tank that espouses the Austrian School of economics, discuss current events. The anemic economic recovery, modern policing, the boredom of elections, and the hope of the internet.

Goldman Plunges, As Market Cap Shrinks By $8.3 Billion Just Since The Matt Taibbi Takedown

If you haven't been paying attention, Goldman Sachs shares have been in freefall.

They lost over 3% Friday amid a slew of headlines about imminent subpoenas related to Blankfein, the firm's activities during the crisis, and just generally for being the much-reviled Goldman Sachs.

The stock has lost over 10% in just the last week since Matt Taibbi wrote his latest takedown, costing the firm over $8 billion in market cap.

From its 52-week high made earlier this year, the stock is off 24%.

Thanks for highlighting that teapreacher . Their documentary 'College Conspiracy' was good, it's a shame they're pump and dump crooks, how disappointing.

5% correction in Gold is meaningless

"5% correction in gold is meaningless. These things correct 10-15-20-30% every year. Nothing unusual about that. That is the way the markets work. I do not see anything unusual. I expect there would be more correction during the course of the bull market. I hope that the bull market goes up, consolidates, goes up, consolidates, goes up and consolidates for years to come. That is my expectation for all commodities." - Jim Rogers

GEAB N°55 is available! Global systemic crisis - Confirmation of a Major Alert for the second half of 2011 – Explosive fusion of world geopolitical dislocation and the global economic and financial crisis

Almost a year ago LEAP/E2020 identified the second half of 2011 as a new critical point in time in the development of the global systemic crisis. Just like our February 2008 anticipation highlighted a major shock affecting the US economy in September 2008, our team confirms in this GEAB issue that all the conditions have now been met for the second half of 2011 to be the stage for the explosive fusion of two fundamental trends underlying the global systemic crisis, namely world geopolitical dislocation on the one hand and the global economic and financial crisis on the other.

In fact, for several months the world has experienced an almost unbroken succession of geopolitical, economic and financial shocks which, according to LEAP/E2020, constitute the warning signs of a major traumatic event that we analyze in this issue.

At the same time the international system has now passed the stage of structural weakening to enter a phase of complete decay where old alliances are breaking down, whilst new communities of interest are emerging very quickly.

Finally, any hope for significant and lasting global economic recovery has now evaporated (1) whilst the Western pillar's indebtedness, especially the US, has reached a critical level unparalleled in modern history (2).

You Need To Be Watching What's Developing In Spain Right Now

Protests have been raging in Spain since Sunday, May 15. The one we've been seeing pictures of is in Madrid, in the famous Puerta del Sol. But there were protests in 60 different locations on Sunday, and they're still raging in different parts of the country.

Why saving is a mug's game
Inflation, taxes and low rates are slaughtering savers. We find five ways to fight back!

Around 90 years ago, Russian revolutionary Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov declared: "The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation."

Remarkably, this anti-capitalist (better known as Lenin, founder of Soviet Russia) has almost perfectly described the problems facing British savers today.

In the Irish Farmers Journal tonight .

British beef price forecast to hit 420c/kg

Beef price in Britain, the main export market for Irish beef, is forecast to increase to the equivalent of 420c/kg for R4L steers over the coming months. Some industry sources predict that a combination of tight supplies of finished cattle, strong demand for manufacturing meat, a high priced offal market, increased access to international markets and expensive imports could even propel the R4L price to a record high of 375pkg or the equivalent of 450c/kg inc VAT. The record price forecast is based largely on predictions that the supply of finished cattle across Britain will tighten significantly as we go into the summer and will remain tight throughout the autumn. The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has forecast that throughput at British factories in 2011 will be down by an average of 4% when compared to the previous year.

Well done Jim!!!

The Murray M Rothbard video is quite a few years old, look how young Dr Paul is, as nothing ever changes with the banking system, it's still all completely relevant today.
It's ironic that in his twilight years Ron Paul has finally managed to get the kind of mainstream 'airtime' to get his message across to millions. A lifetime of effort, and now it's finally happening, sadly time is running against him just as hard as any of the other 2012 presidential candidates.

This old man now faces his hardest battle, a fight for the future of todays children and youth, all he needs is 5 more years and a small miracle at the elections. But you never know, who'd of guessed 5 or 10 years ago he could of got this far?

A 40m video detailing Murray M Rothbard's ideas on money and banking:
