09/5/2007 11:18 | Q1 results due out Friday if last 2 years anything to go by. | hugepants
30/4/2007 22:52 | Looking at how they get to break-even. Q4 costs were $820,000. If we assume thats it as low as it will go then thats $3.3M per annum or £1.65M. Lets say BEK ends up with cash of 7M when LPAL wound up. That should generate £0.4M in interest. So the consultancy needs to generate £1.25M revenues per annum for BEK to break-even. Thats $2.5M or say $0.6M per quarter. Q4 was £0.24M, so needs to more than double. But the burn rate is low now anyway. Still too high of course! | hugepants
30/4/2007 22:29 | Yes agreed Q4 may be just a blip. Need to see a trend before I start ramping it too much. Although by the lack of trades no-ones falling for it anyway! | hugepants
28/4/2007 00:15 | Big *if* though. Without that Q4 nothing to write home about and Q4 may just be a blip. Besides which, they're still quite some distance off breakeven revenues aren't they? (From vague memory, not doublechecked. Apologies if I'm way off there!) Incidentally, interesting to see Doubleclick featuring heavily in the news. Once upon a time BEK had a rather large stake in them, I think. | stewjames
26/4/2007 13:48 | If BEK can keep consulatncy revenues rising at a decent rate I think thats all that will be needed to re-rate the share price. Cash and bonds worth 16p net of liabilities and a growing business is worth a lot more than 5.5p. | hugepants
24/4/2007 14:24 | Heres the quarterly consultancy revenues in $000's Q1 04 - 97 Q2 04 - 97 Q3 04 - 135 Q4 04 - 184 Q1 05 - 143 Q2 05 - 181 Q3 05 - 105 Q4 05 - 124 Q1 06 - 154 Q2 06 - 160 Q3 06 - 163 Q4 06 - 245 Rising, but slowly. Encouragingly though Q4 2006 has been by a long way the best. | hugepants
11/4/2007 15:11 | New web site too. Relatively an immaterial investment though as total private equity $880k BEK state in the SEC 10K filing that they have 9 employees EMPLOYEES As of December 31, 2006, we had 9 employees. The breakdown by business segment is as follows: venture capital and consulting, 4; life insurance and annuities, 2; and corporate, 3. They also state they have $3.6m of policies left and that... "however, all but the remaining seven-year policies, approximately $3.5 million of policyholder liabilities, are scheduled to mature during this period" Seems over-staffed even with 9. They also state "the impact of the staff cost reductions is now being fully realized. We implemented other cost reductions during 2005, and in 2006, we implemented the sublease of our Jersey office space for the remainder of our lease term, effective from June 2006. " | adam
11/4/2007 11:13 | Q1 results due out in about 5 weeks. | hugepants
02/4/2007 10:54 | A burst of share price activity and now all dead again. What went on? | 25babies
26/3/2007 15:45 | Looking at prelims, Next stop 16-17p. Should swing into profit soon. Seems unloved and undervalued at present. Also seems low-risk, Anybody know why these are trading below 17p? | kasman
26/3/2007 12:56 | Will we see some more action at 2.30 LOL! | fireball xl5
26/3/2007 12:05 | Trades not coming through. I have had 2 trades about 11.00am with different brokers that have yet to register. Ben - your trade also not through. | 25babies
26/3/2007 11:59 | Surely this is just a partial re-rating towards the value of the balance sheet bonds and cash. Also Q4 results were promising (big jump in revenues versus previous quarters). Also dont think the $1.6M WorldCom payout was expected | hugepants
26/3/2007 11:50 | I guess suspension will be due very shortly a stock does not rise 80% without any news. | shaunoneill29
26/3/2007 11:43 | I bought 25,607 at 7p. | ben value
26/3/2007 11:42 | any desi banda can tell me about this stock in one year | rajahindustani
26/3/2007 11:22 | how much did you pay?. I used to follow this one from LPG, rose from 7p to 35p as I remember. I wanted in today at 6.5p but I had no way of getting hold of any trading funds, as I have it all in LNG and my limit will not be restored if I sell them. | lord santafe
26/3/2007 10:35 | Well I don't know what is happening but I have just bought some more to be in on the action. | ben value
26/3/2007 09:42 | sunworshipper I hope so. Something is happening. Anyone know anything? | ben value
26/3/2007 09:10 | Can cash in bank really be as much as 17 pence here | sunworshipper
21/3/2007 22:47 | The quarter on quarter operating loss is decreasing quite quickly now Q1 $726,000 Q2 $750,000 (excludes one -off costs of $300,000) Q3 $550,000 Q4 $380,000 This could become ALMOST interesting. They are bound to post a stonking profit in early May for Q1 given theyll book $1.2M from the WorldCom payout. Even thought thats a one-off it might trigger a re-rating. | hugepants
21/3/2007 18:21 | Hi Arthur There seems to be an extra $1.6M ($1.2M in Q1) coming in from a WorldCom payout this year which is to be recognised as a gain in 2007. I dont think there is anything on the balance sheet currently to provide for this (can someone confirm?) Also consultancy income has actually shown a marked increase year on year. Still low but up from $533,000 to $722,000. Thats up 35%. This was achieved while cutting costs. Loss (before exceptionals) was $2.68M. Thats 2.7p based on 51M shares (the 13M Employee benefit trust are irrelevant). The balance sheet is basically cash and bonds and a small invesmtent in Alacritech. If you liquidate that lot, account for the liabilities, and add the $1.4M from WorldCom you get 17p per share! | hugepants
21/3/2007 18:01 | Finals are out. The value seems to be disappearing quite quickly, I wonder if PG can do anything to stop it. | arthur_lame_stocks |
