Absolutely Caradog. Is another iron mine at Kallak an economic imperative for Sweden?Given the current state of the global iron ore market, environmental concerns have have in no way been compromised by a pressing economic need for another iron ore mine at Kallak.

I wonder how much the CEO knows about the railway he proposes to use to transport the ore to Narvik or Luleå, when he can't even spell Inlandsbanan correctly. The railway from Jokkmokk is inadequate. It is not electrified, has inadequate signalling and doesn't have anything like the axle load capacity required. Even the Malmbanan may need heavy investment to upgrade it to cope with extra ore-carrying trains. Who is going to pay for this? Beowulf? I can't see the state investing a lot of money to support increased private iron ore production at the risk of undercutting their own deep-mine operations at Malmberget and Kiruna. From the point of view of the Swedish state, the best time to exploit Kallak would be when production costs at Malmberget begin to render it uncompetitive. Delay seems a reasonable policy for the Swedish government. Expect more of it.

The Swedes are finally stuck up a gum tree. They have no reasonable excuse ethically or economically left to refuse the permit. They are in danger in putting off potential investors for other projects with their prevaricating. This is meant to be an established civilised country adhering to good democratic practices. Well not long now then?

Here we go, more dithering. It seems they are looking for any excuse not to permit this mine.

This does not look like a very tenable position at present. I still maintain that Kallak will only proceed when a Swedish Company either signs a JV with BEM, or takes over BEM completely, for not much money. The Swedes hav a habit of not allowing Foreign Cos to mine their mineral assets and I don't think that this is going to be any different. Not sure where that leaves shareholders in all of the above, but dilution has to be on the cards somewhere along the line & it won't be KB who is ultimately calling the shots. IMHO. DYOR. GLA.

the next price is 5p when people or should I say speculators wake up and realise how a government has got BEM all tied up............... For those of you who like Scandia Noir I do hope you have watched MIDNIGHT SUN....there is a box set that can be downloaded BUT its all ablout the SAMI. The SAMI have it....................the SAMI have it...............just watch the episodes and after you have finished you will be selling your shares as there are too many vested interests in the Sami people and their land, which they once owned but was taken away by the government...........its like the red indians in the USA.

This news does not sound GOOD...........another delay for a year all in the hope that the company will be unable to raise more capital and will eventually go away..............and don't be fooled with graphite......its not that profitable either. The BEARS have it,,,,,,,,,,,the BEARS have it............

Nash, Im guessing those others aren't in stable countries or have the same quality like BEM? So I Would say BEM. Then again Sweden hasn't proven itself to be the most capable when it comes to permitting IMO.

Strange but most mornings premarket were always up 6.5% to 7.5% just wish it would carry on through the day And also how it spends most of the day going in and out of auction without any trades

Ever since Kurt came on board it has been delay after delay so I continue to sit here waiting to buy should the management sort out a deal - JV or otherwise....

Another delay - the two agencies (that doesn't really have anything to do with the process) has now been given until March 27th to give their input on the EIA.
