26/11/2007 11:57 | Are there enough PI's to vote an MBO down if it comes to the crunch? | rp
26/11/2007 11:00 | Must be some sort of masochistic side to me that I went to the Imax at the science museum yesterday. I hadn't been before and it really is a fantastic experience. The cinema was packed, the tickets were £7.50 per adult and I was interested to see that within the period of I think it was 10am - 4.30pm they had 5 showings so with opening of 10am - 11pm Monterey could potentially have 10 shows. They will also have the associated sales of sweets, popcorn and the cafe etc which the Imax at the Science museum does not. Reading some of the posts from the weekend and looking back at the RNS it does seem that it is worded to scare. It does give the impression that the management are very keen to buy it and hence appear to be painting a picture of doom and gloom where their offer seems to offer the only solution. Based on my experience yesterday I can see why they would want to buy it as the ongoing business should be highly profitable. If they are as close to opening as appears to be the case I can't see why they cannot borrow the money to take it the rest of the way. | gantenbrink
26/11/2007 10:46 | I think selling has now stopped,as this has now shown that shareholders ,well those that are still in there must be quite a lot i think and of course many who have not even winced at this RNS ,can only feel that a topping up is coming again here i cannot see MONTEREY CINEMA having problems here before they open ,sorry Bella BUT SHAREHOLDERS KNOW WHATS THIS COMPANY IS ABOUT TO GENERATE,SO DELIVER THE GOODS OR GET OUT AND GIVE bELLA NEW TEAM. | northernrocks
26/11/2007 10:43 | If the RNS was to scare investors then the FSA should get involved. As i say someting is fissssssshy. The Directors may be forcing the company to get their act togehter. or Directors want to buy BLL on the cheap and then raise money via rights issue. Only time will tell.We can only speculate. | psps
26/11/2007 10:41 | If , and only if the RNS as it sounds, was released and designed to scaremonger the PI's, PI's will automatically sell. At the point of the release the share price was 'x' amount in value, but, say, within 7/10/14 days of release the share price had reduced by, say, a further 50/75% then surely the managers who released the RNS would be putting in an offer of far less that they would originally had to. What they could have done is to have a MBO in full but at only a small percentage of the original price they would have had to pay. What they have then achieved is in buying the company at, say, half its value whilst still having enough cash left over to pay the debt and to pick the Co. up on the chaep with a clear blue sky ahead. Just a thought and definately not meant to advise anyone to buy, but it is still an interesting play on the RNS. Dorset | dorset64

26/11/2007 09:51 | if this pulls back to recent higher levels,i feel this has been a classic treeshake. all those that have bailed out will not come back in i am pretty sure. so what does this mean to shares oversold ?well basically a top up for an agressive buyer, nice play if it comes off,we shall see. | northernrocks
