24/9/2006 10:57 | MINING minnow BDI has had a stroke of luck. It has found an extremely rare blue diamond, pictured above, at its Cempaka mine in Indonesia. Highly prized by collectors, blue diamonds are as common as hens' teeth. On average, only one good example is mined every year. BDI Mining, which is quoted on the Alternative Investment Market, has chosen to call the 3.02 carat stone "Chelsea Blue" - a nod to the firm's offices in SW1. It hopes to fetch a six-figure sum for the gem when it is put up for sale by private tender. good timing adam | ged5
24/9/2006 10:51 | Will BDI's luck turn now? There's an item in today's Sunday Times showing a blue gem stone held in a pair of tweezers. "Mining minnow BDI has had a stroke of luck. It has found an extremely rare blue diamond...." etc. It weighs 3.02 carats and will be called Chelsea Blue. They hope it will sell for a six figure sum. | mikkydhu

11/9/2006 18:50 | That 1.5m X-trade @ 19p could well signal the end of a long tap. Here's hoping....... | skyship

31/8/2006 16:07 | And there was I when I saw the poster's name thinking there would be an enlightening comment on these recent trades and why we've moved up a full penny. Or maybe some intelligent comment about the diamond or gold mining industries. Perhaps a statement about the world economy and how it would affect the future price of gold or diamonds. There was an an expectant hush in anticipation of the great man's words of wisdom. But what do we get? More advice to drink red wine (and how did you know it was Merlot - it's usually from the Catalan area but last night it was Merlot brought home from France) and a prompt for perhaps some gossip. Do you think the minesite presentation will have any effect this time around? | ged5
31/8/2006 14:40 | Well Ged5 - may I suggest a nice merlot this evening and we will all be waiting with bated breath tomorrow morning for the next installment.... It is the most interesting comment I've seen ot this thread for months... | unionhall
31/8/2006 14:36 | any clues as to the reasons for your daily ex appearance? Don't normally talk about it. Was advised to drink red wine last night which allowed it to slip out. Still no effect on the share price | ged5
