16/11/2004 20:38 | Not dropped by for a while but very pleased to see the rise since floatation. If there's anything to be added to the header let me know. Cheers. Baughfell | baughfell
15/11/2004 13:18 | Off Topic. pp, OK by me. I'll be out rest of the day, so better not leave email address here today. Cheers, M | mikkydhu
15/11/2004 13:12 | OFF TOPIC warning mikky This Zambesi resources ZRL went up from 14.25 to 22p so far today without any news. Very good company I think. The Zambesi River and Basin have been mentioned by Phil Edmonds in his (either SFU or CFM) company report, I read. He said specifically that the river and its surrounding regions offer more than great promises as far as mineral wealth is concerned. This is coming from an expert who is a qualified formerly Southern African white from Rhodesia who studied Land Economy at Cambridge Univ. and now invests actively throughout African mining and exploration issues (Zambesi River Basin included). His local knowledge must be formible. Serves me right for being too lazy in delaying to buy ZRL at 14p for almost two weeks and I paid the penalty today by buying at 22p. No regrets though; this is the nature of the game. For fear of boring other BMG holders further, may I suggest we exchange email addresses as we do have common interest in this sector. | ppowerscourt
13/11/2004 21:35 | ppowerscourt, Artisanal miners are sort of DIY miners...local people who just go and help themselves using probably basic manual implements. Same as garimpeiros in countries where they speak Spanish or Portuguese...lots in Brazil. But they may be in large numbers and possibly organized and politically sensitive as representing the local population. May take a look at Circle Oil, thanks. Looking forward to next news of diamond production or Woodlark drilling results from BDI. Cheers, M | mikkydhu
04/11/2004 11:01 | Thank you Mikky for the useful info which I am not able to access. What is an artisanal miner? Mikky, Namibia is one African country which has been the most politically stable. Worth a look at Circle Oil's onshore prospect there. | ppowerscourt
02/11/2004 21:02 | ppowerscourt, Just done a quick search on AR.'s Toka Tindung gold deposit. At first sight it looks good, but Aurora spent a lot of money on it and then disposed of it. Austindo Resources in Oz contemplated acquiring it in 2001, but decided against. Reasons are given on their website: www.austindoresource environmental issues...Don't know what they are. And issues to do with the introduction of regional govt. Again, I don't know if this is all in the past or still a live issue. I,m afraid I don't know about possible oil or other minerals at AR or BDI. I think a lot of searching will be needed. Interesting that BDI's share price has held up so well in the face of selling. Another institutional buyer has picked up some of the shares sold by Ocean. See today's second nr. What do they know? Best of luck, m | mikkydhu
02/11/2004 11:52 | helpaargh and mikkydhu Big favour for me please! Could you take a look at Archipelago Resources "AR."? I had been watching it for a while and since it was at 36p. Recently (same time as BMG stirred my interest and prompt action) it dropped to 22p for no reason. Two days later, it shot back up to 29/28p. Would you interpret similar positive company info being held in private possession and just waiting for official release date? (Apologies for going off topic but related discussions) AR. explores in similar locations to BMG. Mark my words: Javanese and Indonesian on- and offshore for oil and precious minerals. (I had never foreseen that BMG's first big find is bling-blings!) Many thanks. | ppowerscourt
02/11/2004 11:33 | IMHO these locations in which BMG has an interest are also good prospects for black liquid gold as well. We have a probable chance of an additional oil discovery there in Indonesia. IMHO. Such is the rumour abound on the ZAR bb. | ppowerscourt
01/11/2004 18:23 | Currently up 23% today in Canada. | mikkydhu
01/11/2004 15:06 | anyone got L2 please ? | mustafalee
29/10/2004 14:03 | Good volume going through now | helpaargh
29/10/2004 13:02 | Hi, As far as management goes this BDI non exec has my vote with his involvement in AEN. I understand he has a good track record. David Lenigas, Non-Executive Director Me Lenigas, a mining Engineer, joined the Company in 2003 and brings to the Company over 20 years of experience in all aspects of mining, from operations to finance, with specific commodity experience in both gold and diamonds. He is currently Joint Managing Director at Asia Energy plc and a director of River Diamonds plc. | helpaargh
29/10/2004 08:38 | They say in their interims that they hope to recover 120 oz gold a month from the diamond mine. I look forward to hearing if this is likely to be achieved. Would be worth half a million dollars a year if it is. | mikkydhu
29/10/2004 04:48 | Yeah like this bit as well The Company is also pleased to announce that the Indonesian Department of Energy and Mineral Resources has granted the Company's operating subsidiary PT Galuh Cempaka "Production Status" over the whole of its 2,944 hectare Contract of Work, allowing mining operations to continue for the 30 years up to October 2034. | helpaargh
28/10/2004 21:19 | I particularly like it that the average stone size is greater than forecast. Bigger stones achieve vastly higher prices per carat. 18 stones greater than 3 carats...Could easily be worth $1000/carat.I hope they can keep this up. Likewise the 20% higher grade than budgeted. It's a great start. | mikkydhu
28/10/2004 18:22 | i'll join you at £0.285 20,000 shares... looking good. | helpaargh
28/10/2004 15:35 | All BMG holders: News just out at 3pm. Excellent find, quality gem diamonds and in good quantities per cubic alluvial gravel. Let us now watch this share rocket. This news is as exciting as AFD's when it found gem quality diamonds near to Africa's Mano River. I wonder if the rise for BMG would be as meteoric as AFD's previous biggie. I was not wrong in discriminating for geographical locations. Just got in at 22p and 29p recently. | ppowerscourt
27/10/2004 09:37 | A 100,000 buy just went through and they are on the move. Eventually news will be required to really get these climbing, but in the meantime this holds great promise for those prepared to take a chance and get in early. | bangor
21/10/2004 22:21 | Anyway, could MCR follow suit ?? | double6
20/10/2004 08:36 | Very little buying moves these up sharply. Can't wait to see what happens when it generates more interest, as it surely will. | bangor
19/10/2004 22:37 | The A shares are the new common shares, ie the placing shares. You can read a full account of this if you go to www.sedar.com, look up BDI Mining and read the document dated 1st October. | mikkydhu
19/10/2004 22:16 | what are the BMGA shares? | adam
19/10/2004 17:29 | Wow - glad I acted on my own advice. Up 26% today, and seems to need little buying to encourage it. Room for much more upside I suspect, but definitely not for orphans and widows. DYO etc. | bangor |
