24/11/2006 15:46 | Sack of spuds, I have no inside knowledge but I, like DavidLloyd, cannot imagine Wayne Sharpe allowing this to happen. He went through a lot, personally and cost wise, to get Bartercard on the AIM - to simply let it slip out again because the nomad resigned is not thinkable. Also, why bother with all the positive RNSs if this company is going out. Plus the appt of FD etc. This company will report profits to September and year ending March 2006 - share price will reflect this. | ngen yap
24/11/2006 14:25 | Wayne Sharpe cannot afford not to have this relisted. Full stop. Not worried. | davidlloyd
24/11/2006 14:12 | ngen you are wildly optimistic with your rose tinted glasses or you have some inside knowledge we dont. which is it? is that a porcine aviator i see overhead? lol | sack of spuds
24/11/2006 13:08 | Don't worry, these will return by the 30th. I wouldn't be surprised we go to 10p with all the recent good RNSs. The property sale, record trading results and license sale. Backed up by the interim results due end of year. | ngen yap
24/11/2006 10:58 | I have sent an email to the 'investor relations', but have had no response. | rjc3
24/11/2006 08:01 | Ooooh, they've just issued an RNS.... that they've sold another licence for $700,000. Fill your boots with shares - erm, not easy when the share price is suspended. I think now, whatever happens and even if they do get another nomad in the time and even if they do start making profits, there aren't many people going to trust them at all. Way too many iffy questions. Not if they're going to issue RNS's about licence sales when shareholders are actually worried about the safety of their money. Water under the bridge for me now, small holding written off in my mind - just one of the risks. | yump
24/11/2006 07:05 | nope - it means the company spends all the money it earns on the directors. It makes big payments to its largest shareholder through third party contracts. It will continue to be loss making and your only communication will be a 5 page annual set of accounts and agm notice. As a company controlled by 1 shareholder you will never be able to vote against the company. So unless the principal owner decides one day to sell the company, you will get nothing. Worse he may sell the assets of the company to a shell 100% owned by himself at a knockdown price, at which point you will get nothing. In short, Bartercard's real licence is a licence for apparent blatant corporate fraud. In 4 business days, this company will have vanished with your money. Suggest you contact your lawyers. Actually as principal sponsor at Harlequins, I would stage a mass protest at the next home game at the Stoop to get some publicity. Whatver you/we are all pretty fuc*ed. The company could of course suprise us all within the next few days - but I'm not holding my breath......... | scorpionwinger
23/11/2006 21:36 | Wonder what happens to the company then ? Company has a value, hasn't gone into liquidation, but the shares can't be traded - whats the next step ? Directors shares also no use to them presumably. Does it mean that they will then re-list at some point with a load more exceptional items and fees from the relisting cost ? | yump
23/11/2006 17:16 | Answer see below - the last you will ever see of your shares.............. 22/11/2006 15:37 | Can someone explain what exactly happens after the 30 day period??? | morr21
22/11/2006 12:04 | wiganer i dont belive it. lol 1 week and counting down before we all loose our cash or will the board deliver? | sack of spuds
20/11/2006 23:09 | You think that's annoying... Our local Coop (all hail the wine section) just installed some point of sale TV displays to advertise special offers. All high tech - fair enough I thought. ...until the obvious thing happened... Someone queueing in front of me saw something they fancied on the screen, said 'oh hang on a minute' while in the middle of being tilled up and went back into the shop... I simply did not believe it ! They're now on 3 tills. Next time I shall do a runner with my goods unchecked and tell them exactly why ;-( | yump
20/11/2006 19:41 | They annoy me. Vic. | egoi
20/11/2006 19:28 | You're turning into Victor Meldrew. | wiganer
20/11/2006 14:57 | fan begins to get a bit mucky...lets hope they clean it before the 30th. How annoying are those flashy ads not just bartercard but all of them at the footie. i would not buy anything on principle from the advertisers. am i turning into victor meldrew or do they annoy you? | sack of spuds
16/11/2006 15:05 | Correct, by the end of November or the fan gets dirty. | davidlloyd
16/11/2006 09:59 | Regarding finding a new advisor, I believe someone stated Aim regs. that say a company has 30 days. The suspension occured on the 30th October. So are we looking at the latest 30th November or when, also what happens if no advisor comes aboard? | morr21
16/11/2006 09:20 | Bored the wife by making her watch the bartercard ads, erm the footy I mean. DL | davidlloyd
15/11/2006 21:02 | >W Could be both. And for England as well ;-) | yump
13/11/2006 16:43 | I suspect something smelly behind the scenes if both broker and nomad resign. Wait and see if quality broker and nomad appointed - otherwise leave well alone. | flyinghog
13/11/2006 10:29 | RNS's are to reassure investors - yes suspended, but not for anything that will kill the company IMO DL | davidlloyd
13/11/2006 10:28 | It seems a waste of a Rns, in fact since they have been suspended they have issued several better Rns's but what is the point when the shares are suspended, if shareholders interests are at heart they should sort out the adviser, resume trading THEN issue the sales updates, who knows what this share will do when they return to trade. | quotes_4_u
13/11/2006 09:44 | Indeed. Farepak's sales were supposedly booming, but it didn't save them. That said, there is one good thing about an upbeat RNS like this, which is it might help ensure that price is steady when suspension is lifted. That's assuming the lifting happens soon, so time for Sharp to get his finger out and get the new NOMAD in place. | wiganer |
