18/10/2006 13:26 | Annual Report - | aporterman
08/10/2006 00:01 | Maybe but depends on the price offered. Seems like little interest following the results which may result in a steady drift downwards. | knowing
02/10/2006 11:38 | Down 0.5 today. not bad but obviously not good. However would expect price to be stable around this price, otherwise the bargain hunters will move in. | morr21
01/10/2006 23:25 | I don't know why people have to argue all the times on these stock thread. Well I read through the results and was not personally inspired by them. I decided on Friday to sell out for the time being as I cannot see what will stimulate a return to the previous dizzy heights. Good luck all that buy here and I will still be around keeping a watchfull eye on BRTR. | tinker tailor
01/10/2006 16:01 | aporterman I agree - new management - I understand CEO is best decribed as colourful which is not a great positive. new broker - vital. Gossip suggest Nomad wants changes at top which confirms above. Watchful waiting until then. Good luck those buying the ?dead cat? bounce - I hope the "cat (parrot) is not yet dead". I would call them couragious which was the term used in the past for bankers being bloody fools and lending to Eurotunnel etc., | flyinghog
30/9/2006 15:47 | Bartercard FY pretax pre-ex losses narrow LONDON (AFX) - Bartercard PLC said its pretax pre-ex losses narrowed in the year to end March. "Good progress has been made in Bartercard's first year on AIM with many parts of the business producing record breaking performances," said executive chairman Wayne Sharpe. "We are greatly encouraged by the current level of enquiries from potential licensees in numerous new countries, including many in Europe, and management anticipate potentially our best year ever of licence sales," it said. Pretax losses narrowed to 4.4 mln usd from 6.5 mln. Bartercard Australia (BCA), its main profit engine for the group for over 10 years, had a difficult year and steps have now been taken to improve revenues and reduce costs. Bartercard UK's performance has improved considerably, it said, adding that the UK operation is well positioned to make a significant profit in the current financial year. The company said the financial outlook for the group as a whole is extremely positive. newsdesk@afxnews.com jc COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005. All rights reserved. 30/9/2006 13:30 | Well, the results were what I expected - it really was a bit of a disaster of a year - I think they picked the worst possible target to reverse into ... a wasted year and a load of cash too ... but at least I think they mentioned that they learned from it! The business model seems to have transferred ok to the UK - so there should be no reason why it will not work elsewhere - Wayne S mentioned the significant interest from potential country licencees - plus the recent ones that have not yet even started trading ... I am hoping that it will evolve into a true Global Trading Company ... surely what those directors were plotting when they tried the MBO. The share price was definitely being manipulated in my opinion and may continue to be for whatever reason! I would like to see the appointment of new Broker - and a more detailed trading update for the 6 months since March. New senior management in place - new website portal coming - a fresh start for BRTR - that's my plan anyway. | aporterman

29/9/2006 15:51 | Quotes dear, Isn't this a discussion board. Should we not be able to discuss what each other post ? Come on only rampers don't like two way discussion. | knowing
29/9/2006 15:49 | Cash was the worry, and looking at the numbers I can see why with little cash left & a large increase in creditors. The cash received since YE must have been burnt to consider selling their property - maybe a last chance saloon but better than a cheap dilution at bombed out prices ? I note they are now profitable but is this from the lumpy license sales ? | james 2
29/9/2006 15:48 | Another one Jam tomorrow | leslas
29/9/2006 15:46 | Knowing. You really are quite a low life insecure person arnt you ? Firslty i have been cautious and posted my caution despite holding, secondly we were told by Wayne Sharp that the property was valued at 14 mil, i again expressed caution at this number because he was not to be trusted 100%. Again you show just what a scum bag you really are on this thread ! | quotes_4_u
29/9/2006 15:42 | From the report - The company is now positioned to profitably grow, led by a strong management team and the overall operational picture is robust and the financial outlook extremely positive. DYOR | james dean
29/9/2006 15:42 | Wasn't you told $14M valuation quotes which makes charges a staggering $8M ? | knowing
29/9/2006 15:40 | james 2. Well the property did exist, 5-6 mil ozzy dollars after charges ! Results are pretty good, after the jump in price Brtr is valued at 15 mil, about right until proven profits shown maybe ? | quotes_4_u |
