To the guys on here with their head still in the sand, how long do you think it will be before The Bahamas close the border and seaports to the outside world? My guess is by Monday

"Why would you sell with a farmout around the corner and a straight drill for 100% of the oil."

I think the more important question is why would someone provide the CLN finance in the current market environment? And why would anyone farm in now, with oil under $40 a barrel?

This is not about the death rate, or yet about the longer term impact to BPC, but about these two questions about potential investors.

Obviously it is very hard to know what the people involved are thinking. But what we do know is there is a massive market sell off, so plenty of investors, across the globe and across different sectors, are selling and staying out of the market. Why would the guys involved here be different?

They need to stop making me work from home. Sold half my shares at over 3p yesterday bought back in at 2.6p today. My share volume keeps increasing. Just waiting for that big RNS now. Hopefully won't be asked to WFH much longer, I hate it.

RO - FLU 1.28 versus CV19 4.08One reason to stop comparing to simple flu virus - If R0 equals 1, each existing infection causes one new infection. The disease will stay alive and stable, but there won't be an outbreak or an epidemic. If R0 is more than 1, each existing infection causes more than one new infection. The disease will spread between people, and there may be an outbreak or epidemic.Importantly, a disease's R0 value only applies when everyone in a population is completely vulnerable to the disease. This means:no one has been vaccinatedno one has had the disease beforethere's no way to control the spread of the diseaseThis combination of conditions is rare nowadays thanks to advances in medicine. Many diseases that were deadly in the past can now be contained and sometimes cured. For example, in 1918 there was a worldwide outbreak of the swine flu that killed 50 million people. According to a review article published in BMC Medicine, the R0 value of the 1918 pandemic was estimated to be between 1.4 and 2.8. But when the swine flu, or H1N1 virus, came back in 2009, its R0 value was between 1.4 and 1.6, report researchers in the journal Science

Just taken a very nice profit on BPC thank you. I feel a lot richer. One delay , drill ship licence or funding problem RNS and watch it fall further . Money is in the bank, going to be some huge opportunities in the market when this is over. If you believe the drill is going ahead in April you are delusional

yep, over reaction by everyone. Look at Cheltenham Festival this week. Great crowds, great racing, people spending money, having a bet. Do they feel worried or poor. Nope. It's because they're not snowflakes.

litho, actually normal flu worldwide kills 450,000 - 600,000. But this cv is media hysteria.

The press loves bad news.
Bad news massively boosts viewing figures.
They are causing mass hysteria.

95-99% of people with COVID completely recover.

Most of the people that die from COVID are elderly people with health issues, just the same as seasonal flu

The CV19 is a catalyst ... not the sole cause.watch and learn as the crisis plays out - next time round you may be a little wiser and a little richer
