UPGS supplies a number of household names and is growing in Europe. It's one of my biggest small-cap holdings and having just signed up the exPoundland chairman I have high hopes that they can significantly increase their current £150m market cap.

Buys consistently outweigh sells on this, so any downturn has to be a tactic for the MM to get stock before another climb. Anybody having difficulty buying?

I was lucky to sell at £3.65 or so as I stated. Nothing astute about it - I was about 20% up in 2 months and wanted to put the money into another I felt had a big short term upside. I also sold FEVR which I see as a steady riser, for the same reason.I bought 2/3rds back at £3.58 and can see it rising slowly to £4 and maybe £4.10.I guess an Institutional thirst for the shares has been quenched by the large placing - so the rise could be pretty slow.I'm going to sell again on Some time next week as I need the dosh for a holiday.Now you know more about my personal life than you ever wanted ??

Visited a new B&M store yesterday and was very impressed. The garden section was incredibly good value. I then sat through the results presentation last night and again was impressed - particularly with how the leaderships team came across actually doing the presentation.

A few key takeaways were growth relative to the key competition, the comment that the company had very strong cash generation, and the decision not to pay a special dividend, almost in the same breath around possible acquisitions (and the suggestion we should read in to that!). Suffice to say I'll be buying a few on Monday.

My only reservation is the current value is a bit high...

Edit: Also not to keen on the store signs. Look a bit hand made! But that's just personal taste...

Indeed and he has. As the price stands I couldn't buy within 1% of his entry price.

I wouldn't mind but he waited possibly as long 10 minutes before declaring his transaction.

Anyway what could I ever learn from the activity of an astute investor.

Placing just announced. Should be a 7am update. The share price will no doubt dip for a while.

"CD&R and SSA Investments, the Arora family investment vehicle, announce their intention to sell up to 125,000,000 ordinary shares in B&M (the "Placing Shares") (the "Placing"). The Placing Shares represent approximately 12.5% of B&M's issued ordinary share capital. Following the sale, CD&R expects to retain approximately 4.9% and SSA Investments expects to retain, directly and indirectly, approximately 15% of the issued share capital of B&M."

Peel Hunt reaffirmed their buy rating on shares of B&M European Value Retail SA (LON:BME) in a research report report published on Thursday. They currently have a GBX 440 ($5.65) target price on the stock
