Posted at 17/2/2002 10:55 by alared These are redeemable shares issued by anglian water to shareholders (for tax reasons)instead of a dividend.AWG then buys them back,if shareholders want to sell.It`s all done so AWG can claim back tax.The current dividend is 13.42p per share,so they issue 1342 redeemable shares at 0.001p instead.The 43m trade is probably the company buying back it`s own redeemable shares. |
