I'd have hoped for a rise but there's no case for the FCA , markets move irrationally short term, longer term value will out.

So 2017 PER of 14x or so with growth in 2018 and beyond and good cashflow. Looks reasonable value IMHO.

This is by far the biggest of the three director purchases over the last few weeks (although even the other two were not inconsiderable at around £10k each).

I'd like to think the downside is now pretty limited.

Yes, I saw that and was interested. I'm not usually impressed by 'Directors share purchases', particularly if relatively modest amounts that look designed to hold up a struggling share price, but this guy is an employee - Head of Protection - so it means something if he feels confident enough to park a reasobale amount of his hard-earned in the shares at this level.

Brokers forecast the volumes of the M50 to halve as the DoD move to dual sourcing, but that Avon to be able to charge a market price i.e. 20% higher.

Yes, the end of the M50 programme is "the elephant in the room", isn't it? It's there, but they don't talk about it specifically, although I imagine this from the interim report was supposed to reassure -
"Significant military opportunities for high value sales of M53A1 respirators and the aircrew XM69 programme are materialising to offset the expected reduction of the JSGPM M50 respirator mask programme.

Wow, that was quick, thanks very much!

So, current contract due to run til May 2018. Last half-yearly report made encouraging noises about orders this year and next to DOD but no specific commitment to extend that contract as yet. Not that we'd necessarily expect it at this point, just interesting to know.

Can't remember where I heard it, but I seem to remember they have a ten-year contract with the DOD for masks. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so, when it expires?

Bought a few more at 1003p entirely thanks to Petrofac going ballistic while I popped out to get some groceries.

This goes xd next Thursday and seen it bounce enough times from the £10 area to suggest excellent value at these levels.
