Yes never seen that % rise in 30 minutes and the buys didn't amount to much i've seen millions not effect the shareprice. Watch this space on Monday.

The spike was very sudden... last 30 mins of trading, very unusual for this share if you look at the chart dont you think? .

The problem for Noble is replacing stock. Simple solution buy Avarae.

If I was Noble i would bid for Avarae if trading was poor.. to give a boost to tunmover. However trading at Noble is good...

I think NBL would have bought in a long time ago - I have bought here on that basis twice and the last time, gave up out of sheer boredom. Of course the share price is now considerably higher and I should have shown more patience.
This stock is an excellent one and a great long term buy and hedge against the current market conditions but battlebus and jeanesy, wishful thinking re NBL: hope I am wrong for your sakes. battlebus is almost certainly right and this is just one of those rumours that occasionally rears its head.

I think the obvious solution would be a bid from Noble.

Lets hope so i've been waiting nearly two years for a bid. It maybe just a tip or just the few buys who knows but the NAV is still 30% off so lots of upside to come.

Great update The Directors of Avarae plc (AIM: AVR.L), the UK's only publicly traded company dedicated to investing in rare and high quality coins, are pleased to announce a trading update for the six months ended 30 September 2011.

Following strong sales performance at auctions in the first half of the financial year, particularly from the recent auction in Hong Kong, the Company expects to report revenue and profits for the six months ended 30 September 2011 of not less than GBP1.5 million and GBP0.4 million, respectively, significantly ahead of those reported in the corresponding period last year and in line with Directors' expectations.

Final results out. Sales up 90% and profit up 20% and nav up to 13.6p so a discount of 30% atm. No mention of a buyout but a very safe haven for me atm. That discount should close!
