I am also hopeful here, but only hold a tiny amount, which were my free shares from the PPC dividend in specie. Sadly I have been burned by PL's perennial placings at PPC. I sold the bulk of my ATOM free shares in the early 1.40s...wasn't any kind of genius investment decision, just wanted to recover something from 000's that I lost at PPC. I will continue to hold my free shares and hope this proves to be a success but I won't be committing any more money to it. Good luck to all who continue to hold or invest here. |
Also, you cannot get banks to fund a project if a company is not solvent with auditors stamp of approval. Hence cash needed now, rather than tapping the loan which would have to be repaid on FID anyway. |
Illogical?? The company needs cash to function until there is an income. That is AIM.. |
Levine already had 40% so I don’t buy the “showing commitment” angle. Don’t get me wrong, I have a good wedge here in the grandkids fund, and see the potential, but I am nervous about illogical events like this. |
Why would they not participate, if the market is not intelligent enough to value the company correctly? This mcap is insane for what is coming (FID and project startup by year end) never mind the whole project pipeline. A superb investment opportunity in my opinion. |
Peter Levine and a placing......surely not, anyone seen this movie before? |
However, if there is a queue to provide the additional funding, it begs the question why this little raise was needed; other than to provide an opportunity for a select few to get in on the cheap ( strange how the share price dipped yesterday) in anticipation of a spike in the SP, post major financing announcement! |
So Levine and schroders now hold over 50% between them and the indications are that there is strong competition to provide the additional funding needed to get spades in the ground. They obviously don’t see any problem with the 50% current holding level but until details of the extra funding deals are disclosed, I guess the share price could stagnate. |
Very positive indeed. |
Our management continue to tick all the boxes for project advancement. Great stuff! |
Extract for latest Longspur Research note.
"Our funding note in March (Project Funding Optionality covered a backstop valuation of 64p based on topco equity funding at the level of the last equity raise but also looked at a more efficient solution of project sales at FID to give 200p and an even more efficient farm down model giving 252p". |
It really is a great trading update. Oliver has been making great progress in developing the business and I look forward to seeing the FID completed and spades in the ground soon after. |
Great news. Full funding deal can’t be far off now. |
On the way up! |
Still an absolute steal at this very very low mcap!! |
RNS: Free Trade Zone contract completed for the Villeta Project. 30-year term provides long-term fiscal security |
I think I am going to wait until nearer the financing announcement before investing further( or just before if i pick up a strong enough rumour lol). If the deal is good and not dilutive I see no reason why this will not fly quickly with such a strong sustainable market for their product. |
Thanks for those insights bbd2. I see the share price is starting a slow drop in the absence of fresh, good news. Maybe a little profit taking of course. I'm holding in the grandkid's trust funds but thinking I may invest myself in my SIPP if this bleeds away again. |
I’ve also been reading that Paraguay and Taiwan have very close economic ties and a delegation from Taiwan recently visited to look at investing in electricity distribution and infrastructure projects there. The Taiwanese have also started a carbon credit trading platform and have listed an undisclosed Paraquay based projects credits on the platform. All very interesting and makes you think whether our future funding requirement could come from Taiwan! |
I see Yara are now supplying PepsiCo with green fertiliser for their crisps business in Europe. The market must be huge for this product, and so no wonder Yara were keen to secure the Atome supply of the future. |

SP Angel:
David Mirzai highlights, “Following the heads of terms with Yara, we expect ATOME to deliver several near-term valuation catalysts in 2H24 that will de-risk the development.” These catalysts are expected to alleviate market uncertainties and drive share prices towards the target |
Updated presentation now available on website..https://www.atomeplc.com/investors/reports-presentations/ |
With the credit worthiness of Yara and the attention to detail and de risking everything the capital raise in various formats is dare I say it a formality. Unless you need the cash you would be mad to sell. If you can add fill your boots for a 3 -5 year exit strategy. Believe Yara will look to take everything they do. Patience and belief is paying off. |
A very impressive presentation today and the future looks bright for the company. |
