The Armenian oil magnate Calouste Gulbenkian was, when confronted with points others believed would hurt his business, fond of issuing a simple retort; “The dogs bark, the caravan moves on.”

'Genedrive today gained UKCA marking for our second pharmacogenomic test for use in emergency care. The test screens for 6 relevant genetic variants that affect a persons ability to metabolize drugs through the CYP2C19 pathway. Initially targeted at personalize treatment for stroke patients, the test also has emerging use for a variety of other optimized treatment planning approached for pain management, seizure, anxiety, and others. It’s the textbook example for the future of personalized medicine.'

bmw says: "panoramic vision is based on a completely new head-up display technology. it projects information at a height perfectly matched to the driver across the entire width of the windscreen. bmw panoramic vision is complemented by the new bmw 3d head-up display for active driving situations, which displays the required information, such as assisted driving or traffic guidance, with high precision as 3d animations in the driver’s line of sight."

unlike fixed pillar-to-pillar #displays (such as mercedes #hyperscreen) bmw is instead projecting information directly onto the windscreen. although 3d imagery was first seen on the mercedes s-class instrument cluster, this is probably the first time a 3d hud has featured in #automotive. the 3d effect is a trick of the eye, and is created by knowing the precise location of the center of both driver's eyes using the #driver #monitoring #system #dms.

seeing machines created a patent for 3d operation in a dms, so that implies it has won the dms for the new idrive. this idrive system also looks like the first time an #automaker has considered holistically what can be achieved using sophisticated dms, rather than ticking boxes for #gsr #ncap compliance for #distraction and #drowsiness. bmw is simply in a league of its own, and other automakers need to wake up to what is happening.

The graphic on page 30 of the company presentation, shows the plan for the process plant which looks to be in the most likely spot for rail sidings, unless they could be squeezed in alongside. ............... turntable perhaps?

In this proposal, for every pound these new investors put in, they may receive up to 15 ordinary shares. For every pound a crowdcube investor puts in, they receive 5 ordinary shares - a third. Although the price offered to both sets of investors is the same, what happens to the new shareholders money before receiving the ordinary shares is very different to what happens to Crowdcube investors money. The new investors will first buy CRPs and receive dividends capped up to 14% per annum, probably paid in the form of shares, so their money gets compounded up over around 4-7 years, possibly more than doubling, before it is invested in the ordinairies, whilst crowdcube shareholders have no such arrangement. Furthermore the new investors are offered ratchet warrants.

1. AUTHORITY TO ALLOT SHARES parts a,b and c of

You will find that the company is seeking authority to issue up to 813m shares (£34,500+£37,300+£9,500) at 10,000 shares to the £1- to satisfy the requirements of the £53.6m first tranche. That works out at 6.6p per ordinary share. Whilst all that authority may not be used it shows that the two offers are remarkably different. The puzzling thing is why existing shareholders have not been offered the same deal as the new investors. It is also surprising that the UK Infrastructure bank appears to be a willing party to this unfairnes

When ordering a hamburger at a restaurant, you know how much it’s going to cost before you start eating. When going to the doctor in the United States, it could be weeks or months before you know how much that office visit is going to set you back (not including any additional lab work, imaging or medication). The fragmented payment system – built on negotiations between doctors, insurers, employers and the federal government – means patients could be billed vastly different amounts for the same visit. “There's no such thing as a price,” says Ezekiel Emanuel, an oncologist and co-director of the Health Transformation Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. “That's one of the fundamental issues in health...Amazon Forbes.
