Excellent growth by Collect+. PayPoint has made a strategic investment into delivery company Yodel, alongside other partners. Yodel is a key user of Collect+. Investment in obconnect: a separate RNS outlines this £10.5m investment, increasing PayPoint’s stake in the business to 59.3%. A put option has been granted, which I think means that the other shareholders have the option to sell out to PayPoint, if they wish. They will get paid up to £20m, depending on the future performance of Obconnect, and PayPoint will own up to 100% of Obconnect if this option is fully exercised. Comment on the significance of obconnect: This investment and partnership with obconnect have enabled PayPoint to leverage this technology platform and range of capabilities, offering Open Banking services to both new and existing clients. At a time when the number of applications for Open Banking is growing rapidly, this technology has been an important addition for PayPoint and its clients… obconnect as a standalone business has made significant progress, securing contracts with a number of banks and building societies, winning industry recognition at the Open Banking Expo Awards and is on track to achieve profitability in H2 2024. CEO summary of the Q1 performance: The strategic investments we have made in Yodel and obconnect, along with an expanded partnership with Incomm in Love2shop, underpin our confidence in a number of our key new opportunity building blocks, adding further momentum to meeting expectations for the current financial year and achieving our medium-term targets. Net debt is £81m, a significant figure but PayPoint has been very cash generative over the years and I don’t blame it for using its cash flow in a variety of ways - both returning cash to shareholders, and making investments and acquisitions for the future.. Dividends are being increased “at a nominal rate” as the company seeks to grow dividend cover to over 2x by 2027 Strong Buy PANMURE LIBERUM: Paypoint 9.5% organic net revenue Growth1 Aug 2024 08:36 Panmure- PayPoint’s position on the high street differentiates it in the crowded payment space; a CY 25 P/E of 9.2x and ordinary yield of 5.7% are too cheap PayPoint is differentiated by its position on the high street, where physical cash meets digital, and where physical services are provided, including PayPoint One, Click and Collect, and vouchers. We think PayPoint’s network, client relationships and ability to offer a one-stop shop solution for payments give it a unique positioning in the crowded payment space. A CY 25 P/E of 9.2x is attractive given its cash generation and growth opportunities, and the company offers a CY 25 ordinary dividend yield of 5.7%. In the five years to FY 25E, PayPoint will have paid out c. 25% of its market cap in dividends. Using a three stage DCF, we derive a target price of £11. PayPoint offers in store payment services for consumers, retailer services as well as secure mobile & online multi-channel payment solutions for businesses' |
Posted at 15/11/2023 11:09 by hazl Year on year, growth in dividends per share increased 14.21% while earnings per share excluding extraordinary items fell by -14.74%. The positive trend in dividend payments is noteworthy since only some companies in the Misc. Financial Services industry pay a dividend. Additionally, five year annualized dividend per share growth is in-line with the industry average relative to its peers.SMT |

Posted at 14/6/2015 09:15 by hazl I have decided to post occasionally on this dis-used thread.I intend to use it for my market thoughts and direction, sectors and relevant shares that perhaps have my attention at the time. I may, or may not, hold those shares and I intend to use it purely for my own records going forward. People are free to post but I wish to make it clear that any shares mentioned are not necessarily tips and to do your own research. I no longer hold ACHP. IMO |
