08/11/2016 13:50 | Near fifty percent retracement from May 2015 high. At £136m market cap aly will be on a few radars, I would have thought. I feel this is being dragged down by other fashion retailers, the management must be considering taking this private and possibly using the Singapore purchase as its head office. dyor regards active | srpactive

31/10/2016 19:27 | Yep, it's a scam. Sp will go down to about 2p, then get suspended. | 11_percent
29/10/2016 08:46 | Gary, you seem to have shorters on all your holdings? | rcturner2
28/10/2016 18:11 | Sterling at the moment. | srpactive
28/10/2016 15:50 | The more this drops the better the yield and value look. But the more I lose! What's it problem | rickyvader
27/10/2016 08:03 | To all ALY shareholders. I have today put a Limit sell order on my holding in ALY of 30p,to stop Shorter,s from loaning the shares from my broker, which they can do for a fee, without me or you knowing about.I suggest you do the same. | garycook
26/10/2016 15:12 | I would have sold into any rise anyway, Gostevie, so got out now while there was a current opportunity elsewhere (that might be shorted lived). I agree re fear of selling at the bottom, but, hey, you can't win 'em all. What I have learned is to try and limit your losses whenever possible. Here I'm following the principle of selling my losers and backing my winners. In any event - good luck. I'm done here. | woodhawk
26/10/2016 14:45 | Did anyone get any clarity on the divi policy going forward? | imranawan
26/10/2016 14:39 | Hi Woodhawk, I am also thinking of giving up the ghost with ALY for the same reasons that you state but can't quite bring myself to do so, partly through the illogical fear of 'selling at the bottom'. It's a shame as I reckon with a good investor relations and PR department this stock could re-rate quite easily but the directors seem to show no inclination at all for initiating that. Shame. Good luck with GVC (which I don't hold). All the best, Steve | gostevie63
26/10/2016 14:16 | Good luck Woodhawk, I too am in gvc, so cannot disagree with your thought process. I am expecting the same shake up here as fccn another of mine. dyor regards active | srpactive
26/10/2016 12:19 | Sold my holding today (not large) due to lack of transparency and communication from company. Knowing my luck, will probably turn around now and put on 10% in days. Good luck to all holders, I hope you do better than I. Nevertheless, glad to be shot and wish I'd taken action sooner. Reinvested in GVC instead, a much more investor-focused co. | woodhawk
25/10/2016 15:32 | I wish they would link with Burberry, quintessentially British, to coincide with Brexit. | srpactive
25/10/2016 15:10 | I think that their disassociation with Homebase (Bunnings, lol) will be a blessing. | mreasygoing
24/10/2016 08:44 | Morning all I hold here and at fccn, I do feel aly will get the same shake up very soon, by another US activist group. dyor regards active | srpactive
21/10/2016 10:39 | Completely agree, I would say in the top ten of respected UK brands, such a shame. The rns in my opinion is just more fat being cut off. I am still holding and content with aly. dyor regards active | srpactive
21/10/2016 10:24 | Today's RNS is common knowlede and an obvious extrapolation from Homebase acquisition. Naturally the staff involved are already in the know and thus the read across for company wide strategy, RNS and subsequent actions an obvious follow on. Having spoken to a Homebase store manager it's clear that rather than go the redundancy route the staff wil be alocated elsewhere if praticable. This won't suit everyone BUT frankly ALY do not have good staff relations really anyway in my experience. A strong brand but not managed as well as it could be is my view of this stock (FWIW). | thorpematt
18/10/2016 07:14 | Morning all 11%, no. | srpactive
13/10/2016 20:35 | Yeah I spotted that. Of course it's not that long ago that it was 46%...so he must be becoming more popular! | thorpematt |
