Nickel doing well even if gold isn't. However strong demand today for gold (US, UK, India - note withdrawal) yet markets managed to reverse strong performance!

I've read a few places the Chinese consumer has more disposable income and tend towards stainless steel these days. So it's not about steel as such.

I'll buy it as a bull flag if it breaks upwards on high volume. The Trump's win has to be good for gold and will give Yellen yet another excuse to push back an interest rate rise, and gold has been the prime mover of ASA. I'm less convinced it's good for the Chinese steel industry.
