No idea what ARE is worth -

But this sector is dead 2020 -

Arena Events sees seismic change from lost revenue amid events cancellations
Revenue losses up to December, 2020, expected to be over £110mln, are barely offset by the £24mln made in April and May

This was getting ramped by a lot of the dimmest people on twitter. It was a bad investment before covid.. margins awful and too many geographically dispersed companies with poor leadership. It's an even worse investment now..

Anyone who supported the March 10p placing has already lost 40-50% of their capital.

Wow, this COVID related outlook statement is as bleak as any which I have seen:-

"The COVID-19 pandemic has taken all the positives away from the solid performance of the Group for the period to the end of March 2020.

Our focus over the last few months has been to implement as many measures as possible to lengthen the cash runway for the Group and to ensure that as much of the fabric of the Group is retained in order to kick start the business, as quickly and efficiently as possible, as soon as the restrictions on mass gatherings at events have been fully lifted.

As a result of this very uncertain environment we are therefore unable to give any specific guidance on how the pandemic will impact trading to the end of March next year, other than to say the impact will be very significant."

The question I ask myself is whether Arena can survive as furlough schemes and other government supports are throttled back.

In my opinion only, this share will fall a lot further

Good Luck All.

ALL IMO. DYOR.

Arena's share price started the year at around 25p, and #ARE has tumbled in the months since to around 6.5p......With many parts of the world seemingly on the path of returning to normality, could now be the time to buy back in to @Arena_UKEUhttps://total-market-solutions.com/2020/07/02/arena-events/

Kate Nicholls, chief executive of the industry body UK Hospitality, previously said that with a 2m rule, outlets would be only able to make about 30% of normal revenues, whereas 1m would increase that to 60-75%.

Events and information company Informa was in the black as it warned revenue was likely to fall by almost a third in 2020 but indicated prospects were brightening as business starts to revive in China.Informa said activity for physical events had started to pick up in China and that the outlook for trade shows in the second half of the year was encouraging in that market. In the US, Informa's biggest market, physical events are unlikely to restart until September and with activity varying between states.

Just need an announcements of one of the major events, such as the horse racing, going ahead and the share price should respond accordingly.

Norwegian Blue Parrot.

There is no sports market - no Ascot, no Wimbledon, Festivals cancelled, Olympics Postponed, Euros postponed and when they come next year or the year after it will be with a very limited number of fans in my opinion. The need to build temporary extra capacity will be gone. The cash burn and the huge debt means, in my opinion, that this form is no longer viable. No one will buy it or rescue it as there is no market and a huge amount of extra capacity. The ice rink business is gone completely. Covid is the perfect storm for Arena. Like some monster punch from a boxer - you couldn’t have ever predicted it but neither can you ever recover from it. That’s being said Arena was not sound prior to Covid but it might have found a way to survive. Holding shares in Arena isn’t optimism it‘s foolish. Don’t buy in. Don’t be fooled by the pumping. This Norwegian Blue Parrot is dead.
