Aquis Exchange PLC

("Aquis" or the "Company")

Aquis Stock Exchange gains equivalence for dual quotations with the Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Aquis Stock Exchange (AQSE), the primary and secondary trading business of exchange service group Aquis Exchange PLC, has been granted equivalence status by the Frankfurt Stock Exchange's Open Market. This means companies with a quotation on AQSE can seek a dual quotation on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and vice versa.

With its fully electronic Xetra market and its floor trading venue, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is one of the largest exchanges in the world and continental Europe's largest. The Open Market in Frankfurt mainly trades foreign shares, bonds of German and foreign issuers, certificates and warrants in addition to German shares. Currently 44,366 international securities are tradable in the Open Market.

For companies considering a dual listing for AQSE securities on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, advantages include better access to the German-speaking financial community, which has Europe's largest retail investor community, and stocks become accessible to certain German funds that only allow investment in companies with a domestic listing.

Dual listing is a simple process, which carries minor cost implications and, crucially, has no additional reporting or compliance requirements. The arrangement between AQSE and Frankfurt was effective from 3 May 2021.

Commenting on the development, Aquis Exchange PLC CEO, Alasdair Haynes, said:

"We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with our German counterparts to allow AQSE-quoted stocks to list in Frankfurt and thus gain simpler access to investors beyond the UK. In return, we look forward to having German stocks come to us to benefit from AQSE's unique liquidity pool, narrow spreads and institutional support base. The strategy at Aquis is to constantly innovate to improve our offering for the sake of issuers, investors, be they institutions or private individuals, and the economy overall."

AQSE already has a dual listing arrangement with OTC of the US.

Hi all,

My mate Peter @Conkers3 and myself did a ‘Twin Petes Investing’ Podcast last week and AQX was one of the Stocks we discussed, although neither of us hold it.

In this one I started discussing how I use Spreadbets to gear-up my Returns but in a low-risk way and very much treating my Spreadbet Account like normal Shares. As always we also chatted about loads of other Stocks and Ideas for research and a fair bit of educational stuff with regards to Investing and Portfolio Management.

Anyway, if you use Youtube, Apple, Audioboom, Overcast, Google+ or Spotify you can find it under the 'Conkers Corner' Channel (you want Podcast TPI 46) and you can find it on Soundcloud at the link below.

I hope you enjoy it and find it useful, we try to keep them light and they are totally unscripted, with the intent being that it is like you are eavesdropping on us having a chat down the local boozer.

Cheers, WD

Good news today. Interactive Investor are now connected to the Aquis Exchange and so clients can buy shares on the Aquis exchange shares electronically, rather than having to pay the £49 telephone charge. We just need HL to follow.

Revenues for the year ending 31 December 2020, will be no less than £11.0m, marginally ahead of market expectations – nearly two months after the year end. Investor's Champion comments they can’t quite understand why they can’t provide a firm number!

Excellent presentation by Alistair Haynes at Mello with the main focus being on their transformation of the Aquis Exchange. A company creating a market with true depth of liquidity, narrower spreads and transparent best execution is worthy of personal investor support. This offers very exciting prospects for early stage businesses and personal shareholders. If AQX get this right they could find a real sweet spot that aligns the interests of these two under served groups and fosters innovation, re-invigorate early-stage IPOs and create wealth. This could become the market that AIM was intended to be but has failed to deliver.

AIM is more concerned with looking after their Proprietary Trading Firm clients and protecting their predatory trading techniques - which makes sense for AIM as it's they that 'pay the piper'.

Very, very exciting prospect.

Regards, Maddox

Thanks Tomps - excellent presentation.

AQX are a very exciting prospect and really like their focus on retail investors - best execution, shorting ban for growth firms and aspirations for higher liquidity for Small Caps with narrower spreads; as well as improved access to IPOs. An exchange that is better aligned with retail investors is just the competition that the hopeless, arrogant AIM market needs.

I hope that all their plans quickly fall into place as I think they could hugely improve the environment for retail investors.

Then as an investor their subscription pricing and best execution/liquidity advantage should lead to AQX capturing an increasing share of the market.

Putting my money on their success.
