This has so much potential all news quite up beat but down goes the share price ....Investing is a funny old game at the moment....I still think this will come up trumps though.

More (predicted) good news SELL SELL. I find it hard pin point why the price is so weak - I would really appreciate a recent negative review of ASM - all whom I have spoken to / read of are strongly bullish (but who's buying?)

Strange how we were down 15% the day before they get 25m. What's that all about?

The day prior to the acquisition and placement announcement, ASM had a market cap of £123m. As of today it is £102.7m but if you assume that the additional shares (51.9m placing and 28.5m subscription at 26p) are issued and the current price holds the market cap would equate to £121m. So it looks to me like the market is assuming that for now this transaction will be net neutral in respect of the value placed upon the company?

Down 15%. Statement from the company time if continues tomorrow. Good example of why we small guys should not be in the stock market - we operate in a world completely controlled by the interest of others.

Is any news out on Xanthus' stage 3 trias, i.e. negative. Or is it knocking the price for the US sharehoders to receive more ASM shares in deal ?

thought price was already set at 26p? No official knowledge or reason for the price drop. Perhaps some whitesock decided did not like/understand the Xanthus deal.

Sorry DaveNic did not see your post - I think the deal was good and raised the value of ASM unless something dodgy has turned up in the purchase. Are any, eg AS1411 results due? (being lazy not checking). The dive started at noon which I thought might have related to a news release but seems co-incidental.

make that - %16.7 odd. No news. No comment. Tree shake? Insider news? Or just sheep panic?
