Security wise need the R1/R2 and Mengo to come in good. That will firm things up and then the excitement will build for the Djeno and potentially the Vanji.

A phrase from CEO

' "The commencement of drilling operations ahead of schedule expected represents the culmination of a considerable amount of hard work by the team,” David Sefton, Executive Chairman, commented. “In the space of six months, we have effectively built a new operations team from scratch, commenced the well planning process, raised additional funds, negotiated all relevant contracts, completed a new Environmental Impact Assessment, successfully executed the workover of the two existing wells and have now mobilised an entire drill team and equipment. This is a real achievement for a junior oil and gas company.”

Just waiting for the good news on Thurs.
They also have a lot of news feeds all lined up.

We will all start to dance the 'conga in the congo' soon, once Djeno news hits the headlines. They know the oil is there just a matter of 'hitting' the right spot.

Eni are in there too.

Watch this share price move next week once the market wakes up after the holiday season break. Exciting times are about to unfold.

If they're running to schedule, they should be drilling out the 20" casing today/tomorrow, and be in the R1/R2 tuesday/wednesday. But they could be several days adrift by now, for all I know.

But has anyone heard what's actually happening at the wellsite since spud day??

Yes a lot of buying pressure in anticipation of early feedback from the shallower zones. Not far away from a move upwards now.

Thamestrader, have you read the Finncap BN?

"The next two zones have higher risk of failure" 60% CoS for the Mengo formation

The Djeno is the higher risk at 25%

good news hopefully. if they somehow cant get oil from R1 R2 then they will be decimated. perhaps could still get something from below though. all or nothing

Expecting a weak day today and tomorrow, ahead of the long bank holiday weekend. Volume and price should zoom upwards from Tuesday open........ plenty of news and events next week and the week after.

anyone submitting questions for the podcast on the 30th?

Given that R1/R2 should have been hit by then it could be damage limitation exercise or celebratory!

They will almost certainly find oil in commercial quantities the R1/R2, which they will hit next week if all goes to plan. They are already producing from here on two adjacent wells, which is why it is so certain. But this alone will not change the game.

The next two zones have higher risk of failure, but potentially much bigger rewards. These are considered as appraisal drilling.

If these two look good, they may continue drilling to a fourth possible zone lying below, This is exploration or wildcat drilling.

Depending what they find, a fourth well, drilled back2back with this one, would further appraise and produce from these new horizons.
