From today's RNS:

"Under the government legislation, mining operations are categorised as critical economic services and are able to continue minimum operational activity including critical maintenance work. To comply with this directive, the Uis Tin Mine will suspend mining from the open pit but continue feeding the processing plant from the run-of-mine stockpile during this period. The Company has more than two months' worth of production on its stockpile and does not believe this will have a detrimental impact to the progress at site."...

..."The Company plans to export the next shipment of tin concentrate from Walvis Bay by mid-April 2020. As it currently stands, the relevant port and smelter operations continue to move and accept tin concentrate. If further information to the contrary becomes available, the Company will update the market accordingly."....

I believe this is reacting to Sn prices which are pressing down towards $14000 at the moment. ATM claim to be a low cost producer but I don't know their AISC.

Phase 1 should pay for itself. Good strategy, good level of communication.

As per above presentation there are two recent/imminent shipment events happening:

- 1st shipment dispatched from Uis Tin Mine end of November 2019 and due to arrive in port in Thailand early February 2020
- 2nd shipment planned for end of January 2020

Perhaps investors are waiting for the Phase 2 finance details before buying or adding. Shouldn't be much longer hopefully. With tantalum and lithium as well as the tin, the share price should really start motoring as production ramps up.

Price of tin seems to be drifting, don't know if that's a factor in recent share price fall.
I plan to top up again soon though, this looks like a good long term investment.

Very impressed with the Crux interviews - useful for Afritin investors to watch the Bushveld interview as well - considering the closeness of the two companies.

Nice steady rise in the price of tin in the past week so another 150000 for the long term pot. 3.04 so couldn’t really say no.

Any ideas how long it takes to sail cargo from Walvis Bay to Phuket. Pricing to be announced 20 days after arrival, so just trying to work out when we can finally get some figures to work on.

Laptop15. I made a note not long ago that the production costs were predicted to be around $15000 / ton. So just with the tin at $16850 they will be in profit. Desperate for some production figures and recovery rates, and see tantalite and lithium as the cherry on the cake.

There is a Proactive Investor interview from Sept 2019 where you will get the most up-to-date info. I am not sure what the financials of Stage 1 are but they are saying that Stage 2 will be lowest quartile production costs.

Stage 1 is a pilot plant that should pay for a BFS and fund Stage 2. I understand that they are one of the few open cast tin miners and they are reopening a closed mine so to a certain extent their costs and risks are reduced.

Anthony Viljeon is a founding director of Bushveld Minerals where he is still a director.

The latest funding is from a Namibian bank, Nedbank - which replaces backing from Bushveld who are offering surety to Nedbank.

The Proactive Investors interview did mention some issues with the plant and expectation that this will be operational in November.

To me this is a 5+ year investment. It is only with stage 2 production that the value of the mine is going to realised. This timeframe could be reduced once the BFS is in place and with good tin price it may be possible to get funding to build stage 2 sooner than planned.
