Here comes the pump and dump squad, just need falia now. Remember if AMP sold all their MTFB at 50p it would still not clear their liabilities.

That was before mtfb price up nearly 40% today Financial Results -- Net Asset Value ("NAV") per share was -1p (US -$0.02 cents)* at Period-end from -2.4p (US -$0.03 cents) as at year end. This increase was due almost entirely to the movement in value of the Motif Bio plc share price Highlights Amphion -- Sold the Company's remaining holding of Kromek Group plc -- Richard Morgan and Robert Bertoldi, Directors of the Company, entered into a Deed of Postponement where they agreed to postpone the repayment of the amounts owed to them, which total US $4.3 million, until all other debts of the Company are repaid Motif Bio -- In January, Motif Bio completed treatment of patients in its Phase III trial (REVIVE-1) for its product candidate iclaprim -- In April, Motif Bio released data readout from REVIVE-1, showing iclaprim to be well tolerated and met the non-inferiority margin mandated by the FDA Polarean

MTFB - a long way to go to get back to previous highs but certainly on it's way. Lot of skin in the game, lifetime's work involved in AMP to just see it fail, hopefully.

If MTFB continues like this, AMP may just have dodged the debt ] bullet. In which case it's a cheap way into MTFB at these levels.

So now we are selling a significant portion of the family jewels to pay off debt in order to retain our holdings in our hopeless other Partner Companies. Where is the sense in that. Couldn't we have sold all our dross and retained all our holding in the one company that may eventually come good? If there ever was a case for keeping all our eggs in one basket, surely this is it. Instead, our inexorable decline into liquidation continues unabated. We will be gone and forgotten by Christmas.

Class action against this management? Why employ very clearly lawyers who make errors?

I have watched this stock over many years in the hope management will prevail with Datatern’s ongoing and expensive litigation saga in the Federal patent courts. This channel of investment return could and should have been huge, but alas the persistence of Amphion management employing inept lawyers to fight the patent claims can only be described as wholly incompetent. The patent protection of 502 and 402 will be terminated at the end of this year so I cannot see further Object Spark licenses being issued before then. Morgan however still sees a glimmer of light after the last Federal court judgement but at what cost and when will a definitive judgement be made? In the meantime Morgan and his other incompetents on the board are waiting to pay themselves millions in back pay after managing the stock down from 30p to 1.5p. A great fat cat achievement by any standard. The debt this company owes is quite extraordinary and selling down its stock in Kromek to 5% has further weakened the balance sheet. There is however some light at the end of the tunnel. Everything hangs on the success of Motif Bio and the proposed new listing this year of Polarean, if we don’t see a market crash or correction to postpone events before then.

2pablo and 1calton - many thanks for your reassuring posts. I hope you are right and that we are just in a low volume period that can significantly affect the share price My worry, however, is that the share price has been in a steep decline since it peaked around 4p in May and there is nothing coming out of AMP to indicate that this will change. Without some significant good news I cannot see the share price recovering. But let's hope I am wrong - I often am when it comes to share price predictions!

2pablo is correct about recent trades. This is the vortex into which small tech companies all to easily fall which allows greater gains the bigger the scare preditors create. BUT I would like a lot more info about DATATERN - or has Amphion's slumbering giant sleepwalked over the cliff whilst the big three holdings have got all our attention?

sorksandnorks - there's been virtually no volume behind the last few days drop, eg about £500 traded today, less on Friday and about £1k on Thursday. Try putting a massive Buy order in for £1k and then we'll probably see a 10% upswing! Admittedly, no-one can sell their stake for more than peanuts, so hold on and pray. No news is not good news but nothing in my mind to worry about. The directors of Amphion, as far as I remember, have loads of skin in the game and are not going to let this go to the dogs.

Down to 1.5p and declining fast. 0p by Christmas, I fear. What on earth are the so-called directors of this company up to ? They certainly aren't directing anything.
