07/1/2015 21:18 | Charlie Morgan wrote in the half yearly report released on the 24 September 2013 that: the realizable value of the intellectual property assets held by DataTern is substantially in excess of the carrying value and the incremental investments being made in the pursuit of infringers of the IP will generate a substantial profit. there remain a large number of additional potential licensees and we believe that we should be able to generate a significant amount of revenue from this asset over the next few years. the dictionary definition of substantially is: considerably, significantly, very much, greatly, seriously, remarkably The dictionary definition of significantly is: very much, greatly, hugely, vastly, notably, considerably, remarkably, enormously, immensely, tremendously, markedly. I am just trying to focus on these definitions which were freely used by the company. | a1samu
07/1/2015 17:11 | These are starting to remind me of NXT with their Licences and constant fund raising and bottomless pits. | isis
07/1/2015 17:04 | This becomes interesting again in the 2's i reckon as the pump and dumpers and their sheep leave I notice there is a document on the internet dated December 19th re this 'Vacate' judgement ? Why did the Company leave it until now to RNS ? Were they sorting out funding in the background to go alongside any liquidity from this event ? Or is there a less cynical and less sinister explanation ? | the stigologist
07/1/2015 13:31 | I don't have anyone filtered at the moment - it's handy to know what's being said when looking to open a position. If someone is blatantly P&Ding something I'd rather know before buying!! | bozzy_s
07/1/2015 13:30 | The thing is anyone can say I have a potential new product in a Billion dollar market - even if it were a new Elastic Band or Bottle Top. Doesn't mean it will work or will sell though. And there are no figures for the litigation costs or potential income if any yet. These Companies like MS and SAP are dealing with patents allday long. As we have seen with Kromek they were first to market Bottle Scanners but there are virtually none in everyday use in the EU despite being approved etc. | isis
07/1/2015 12:37 | the drop will happen after a big rise but im very confident here and will build a stake once it settles | mally6
07/1/2015 12:31 | Well I'm not so sure finance is soted until they give some figures - they have said all this before. They also have millions of options and Promissoy notes out there. | isis
07/1/2015 12:23 | Spot on yesterday 21T, well done. I genuinely thought this had the potential for a few consecutive blue days. Luckily Falia and Mally6 appeared late yesterday from the ultra rose-tinted short-term Topinfo thread, and that put me off buying a few! Reckon at 3p these are a speculative medium-term buy. Financing sorted, potential income from patent infringement is multiples of current mkt cap, various investee companies with IPO potential. | bozzy_s
07/1/2015 09:45 | There was no $40m - I think someone mooted the prospect once but it wasn't the Directors. They need a lot of money to keep feeding these investor Companies and no figures have been given. | isis
07/1/2015 09:39 | I think they should add the name falia to reliable indicators to get out of a stock fast before it drops sharply. | 21trader
07/1/2015 08:56 | isis Fish and chip paper now for a while. The prices spouted on here were amusing but this thread is nowhere near as bad as the LSE for a good old pump and dump. 99% of spikes drop the next day after a brief mark up and chase. | 21trader
07/1/2015 08:40 | Dataten has never received $40m - some vey dubious comments on this thread. | isis
07/1/2015 08:22 | Buyers all over it still suprised at that it still has legs | 21trader
07/1/2015 08:16 | Think I will write a book but saying that it is predictable what will happen only out by 5 minutes. | 21trader
07/1/2015 07:54 | 5-6P 1ST 30 MINS THEN PROFIT TAKING AND BACK ABOVE 6P AFTER 1PM | falia
07/1/2015 07:47 | good morning we up pre market | falia
07/1/2015 00:03 | hmmmm - I don't recall AMP ever having a 40 dollar profit on their accounts. I think some are getting a bit carried away. They have been making losses for years and even when they've made a profit it seems to disappear up the Rses of the bottomless pit Companies. | isis
06/1/2015 23:57 | If I was Microsoft or any of the big boys suggested, and these licence fees were anywhere near likely to be paid, I would look to buy out Datatern asap! As a long term holder of AMP and currently sitting on a uncomfortable loss I hope you are right!! | dlm2602
06/1/2015 22:39 | Three figure return..not bad. | petersmith6
06/1/2015 22:23 | 21 Trader & ISIS: If the small players in a year paid $ 40+ mill in 2012 At 1.00 USD = 0.660830 GBP That is 26.4332 mill GBP That is 0.17826724 GBP per share or 17.82 pence Where the total shares in issue are 148,278,506 I am hoping for atleast a 10 fold increase in revenues accruable from this patent infringement That is 400 Mill USD = 264.332 mill USD Equalent to 1.782672399 GBP So I am holding a decent portion of my holdings for a THREE FIGURE return... But that's me... My best wishes to your investments | jumbone
06/1/2015 22:12 | when did AMP buy DataTern out because if it was prior 2012 why is this income not showing to AMP - the $40m? Taken from website: Amphion’s fully-diluted ownership stake in DataTern was 100% as of 30 June 2009. DataTern is 100% owned by Amphion, it is consolidated into Amphion’s financial statements. "DataTern Earned more than 40 mill USD in 2012 from some of the companies that agreed to pay the licence fees" | euclid5 |
