IT'S NOT A REAL FLIPPING CAKE! IT WAS A CLEVER STORY TO ILLUSTRATE A COMPLEX FINANCIAL CONCEPT FOR AN INEXPERIENCED INVESTOR!

It's not a real cake. It's just an analogy. I knew this would happen! Trying to simply things...

Bunbooster, what flavour is the cake and when do I get it?

Think of it like a cake. There are six people at the party with a cupcake each. We decide to consolidate the cup cakes by making a larger cake which is divided equally among the six party goers. So everyone now has a slice of a larger cake but in the same proportion to the six cup cakes before but now the big cake looks nicer because it's a big cake.

It's like that but with shares. Instead of thinking about cake think about shares. Instead of a party think about trading with your child's school fees account and being stressed all the time about your wife finding out.

Any other questions just let me know.

Have I missed something? Consolidation?

L.o.l

Institutions investing in an illiquid small cap, high risk, single-country O&G play.

Statistically proven that reverse stock splits have, on average, historically led to share value declines amongst small caps.

I think this consolidation has been timed very well. It's been on the cards since we hit 3.8bn shares, but there wouldn't be a lot of point in paying for the process of consolidation until we could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Now we have Kiliwani paying off the debt, and Ntorya looking to be a game changer, even the possibility of oil. This will attract a lot of ii interest, but the number of shares in issue vs the MCap is a potential stumbling block to the big ii's loading up, a stumbling block that's easily removed with a share consolidation.

Right there krypton - Jay wants investors - not punters.

Maybe it will attract big institutions, better to have them than a bunch of fickle traders.

Terrible idea to consolidate. Punters in small caps like penny shares.

It's 20:1 so they should trade at around 100p

Well if we consolidate 10 shares to 1. Our share price will be 50p+.

Now, where are all those non-believers that said we won't go over 10p in a hurry? Lol!

I think they alternate. Next year should be in London. It is an Irish listed company, so it's not unreasonable to have some AGMs in Dublin.

Why are they having the AGM in Dublin again? Considering the majority of shareholders don't live in Ireland, and a much larger number of shareholders live in the UK than in Ireland? Is it just to give the London market analysts an excuse to fly over on a jolly? Is it to try and keep the number of PI's to the absolute minimum, as PI's are much less likely to fly to Dublin, whereas if the AGM was in London, loads of PI's would turn up, even some of those with smaller holdings. It's also very short notice for anyone wanting to go, as it only allows them 23 days ahead for booking flights and the cheap seats have probably gone already, which may swing it as a non starter by shareholders with smaller holdings.

just updated the above.

this short post best sums up todays SOU webcast:

"Utter shambles of a webcast from James "Barrow Boy" Parsons and his crew. Wouldn't buy a second hand car from that guy."

Litho, ah right, that explains it, thanks! I wonder if some of that money will flow into AEX? So many oil/gas plays on AIM and not many realise AEX is main market!
