DviNo, that was what Zafar said in a chat after the presentation. I think however that maybe he was trying to be discreet/circumspect? After all, as you say, these negotiations are apparent very long and complex - imagine you're briefing an architect and a project manager to build you a new house, then multiply the variables involved in that sort of bespoke operation by a factor of who knows what! Let's just say he didn't seem at all despondent or pessimistic about what was happening and blamed the inaccurate report of cancellation that was published on celebrations over ChineseNew Year.

Baz, The 50 50 chance, is that your view or the one of management? Although these things take time, I had no reason to think there was a problem when I spoke to them a few weeks ago.

Well the most important snippet was that, contrary to what was published a few weeks back (I think on the YZ parent website?), the order for the two semi-subs has NOT been cancelled. It is still being negotiated/discussed in detail and could take another 2-3mths yet - still a 50/50 chance. The new yard although not completed is operational. Talks in progress with several potential customers. All good.

I hear good feedback on Tyratech but how did Amedeo do at the presentation this week? I imagine it is still a bit early.

Great chart/posts on AMED howdlep. Could i suggest that you post both on the CR, UPS and FXD threads to alert to the AMED opportunity?

Now above 6 month downtrend channel, funding in place at 1p and a broker target 100% higher than the current price. I am now looking for a break of resistance at circa 1.1p in order for volume and momentum to really increase.

with such a lot of newsflow to come that will transform the sp, hardly surprising then that Daniel Stewart have a 2p target. Funding already secured at 1p.

This rise was so predictable after that ridiculous fall the other day. Just missed out on adding at 0.75 - 0.80p. Never mind - still good value imo.

Article today, encouraging.
'Currently most shipyards see the offshore industry as the new growth point & want to enter the industry, however, lots of them don't have enough capability to build offshore products.

Yep looking good for this year and nice dividend for their investment.
Remember this year the pound has got even stronger for MGR.
A share certificate to dust off in a few years time.

Results should be good with the strength of the pound!!
Looks as if they are waiting on certain news to be released with the results.
More contracts would be nice for those that are in.

Were you correct, GENISES?

yep....its just MMs dropping the price on news....and investors collecting sharea at the recent oversubscribed 1p fund raise. Cna see this drifting above 1p+ once the completion of the new yard is confirmed by end of year, progress in rig build and there is the dividend from MGR yet to come. There should also be demand after the proposed presentation next week...all looking good..imo

very happy with reasonably robust year just gone, so all in all, looking good for the future if they can keep up at this pace, forget about the share price for the moment

Very optimistic - this years results not as imporatant as the future looking statements.

'The New Yard is expected to be fully completed, ahead of schedule, during autumn 2014, at which point it will have capacity to build up to ten offshore rigs, four semisubmersibles and two drill ships simultaneously'

'Demand for newly designed offshore vessels over the next several years is expected to be underpinned by several factors. First, almost half of the current fleet of rigs worldwide is around 30 years or more old, and with the life of a rig being 25 to 30 years, will need replacing. Second, new major discoveries are expected to be made in deep waters and this is fuelling demand for new deep water rigs. Along with the "economics of disaster", this means that the oil and gas majors are demanding high specification rigs with the latest safety features. Finally, regulation is demanding higher safety standards on rigs. Based on the current stock and new rig builds in the pipeline, there could be an undersupply by almost 200 jack-up rigs by 2020. Both Amedeo and YZJ Holdings believe the requirement to provide higher specification rigs to enable even deeper and more efficient drilling represents an excellent investment opportunity.'
