03/1/2008 10:25 | Chris: Been lurking with this one for about 4 years, & following the bb for a few. Used to rank it with APF, but although all the calcualtions look good, the results do not compare. I came by way of Samson, my old Australian "dog". Fordtin posted an interesting Minesite conference yesterday, which was hours of a job, but very worth while.{I nicked it for CEY/ GEX thanks Fordtin.} Noted that one of the guys was super-bullish on Natural gas,& a yank newsletter man. Now Samson has n gas, & is just about to list in the States, so could be a winner at last. It is interesting to note how he could be right as they have had to stop producing in the Rockies at times because the local market was over cooked & the price was decimated. The pipeline out of the area is just happening & so prices will improve. We think of India/China etc for infrastructure problems upgrades, but the reality has shown this yaer that it's Australia & USA that have not kept up with the increased demand for commodities. Notice 55.000 buy gone through & no movement. A couple of weeks ago, 2.000 sell would have made it drop like a stone!!! Always a puzzle. | haydock
03/1/2008 10:00 | Ok, Chris. I'm a long term holder. I managed to top slice during the tip-induced frenzy last year (not often one calls a top successfully), but bought them all back at around 60p - too soon as it turns out. | ilancas
03/1/2008 09:46 | Hi haydock, noticed you have been lurking over here for a while. | chrismcglone
03/1/2008 09:46 | Give me a day or two ilancas. Apologies for the reluctance but once bitten twice shy as they say. However, keep watching in. I don't imagine there are too many American members of this board but there may be 1 or 2 UK subscribers to his newsletter. FWIW, i have purchased all of my rare gold coins from his rec's over the past few years eg. and have done v. well. I have also used his recommended dealers to purchase them and i have posted a fair bit of info on this in the past over on the Gold Coins board. | chrismcglone
03/1/2008 09:43 | Thanks Chris, explains the rise in interest, could be a bit of life in the old dog yet.Never looked to be any reason to be below 200 day ma. | haydock
03/1/2008 09:35 | The shares seem to be finding a bottom at any rate: | ilancas
03/1/2008 09:30 | Chris, are you prepared to say who the tipster is? | ilancas
03/1/2008 09:26 | What i would say guys is that he reminded me of some of the great reasons to hold on here for a turnaround. Also some good informed insight into why the poor performance and some interesting (if not that significant) inside info on others in the industry who have taken an interest in the company of late. | chrismcglone
03/1/2008 09:20 | chris i have a choice of staying in and waiting for your post along with fordtin , or going outside to do some compost management. hmmm, those heaps do need some turnin'. | drago
03/1/2008 09:19 | I expect to see at least a bit of interest and buying from across the pond following a detailed update and strong recommendation last night from an American tipster. The buy rec went out on his lowest circulation (due to the high price of the subscription) newsletter, so there will not be huge buying. However, from experience, i have found in the past that once his regular subscribers have had plenty of time to digest the rec, this info then finds its way onto the more populated newsletters in his publishers stable. He has a very loyal following and i have personally made some great money following his (mainly gold and commodity) material over the last 4 or 5 years. He has a v.good track record (which is why he's the only person i have been remotely tempted or prepared to pay good money to for a monthly newsletter). Given the usual caveats on copyright etc i am reluctant to divulge the contents. However, i would say that having held this since the Golden Prospect days and having followed this board for some time now, the majority of informed posters will already be in possession of most of the information provided. Suffice to say i bought some more. | chrismcglone
03/1/2008 09:18 | Somebody has an inside line to the reason to buy this morning, active & blue. Level 2 anybody? | haydock
02/1/2008 23:39 | Time to buy? FWIW i will post an interesting (well, hopefully someone will find it so) update in the morning. | chrismcglone
02/1/2008 13:58 | Perhaps ................ but I doubt it. | vixen
02/1/2008 11:56 | Perhaps the seller has just been cleared out. | shakyhands
31/12/2007 10:40 | Large seller dominating the share price | vixen
20/12/2007 13:59 | Several new announcements on Samson Web-site. Mr Burne has retired from there as well,so winding down. A new 35 page presentation aimed as usual at the States, less detailed more focused, with very new deveolopments & an aim to produce a large company in 2 years & sell. Starts on the Amex on Jan 23rd, so exciting times, I hope for this old dead duck which even Ambian has not been able to grow , yet. Well repositioned & cashed up, so sometime perhaps? | haydock

19/12/2007 16:30 | I'm sticking to my patient approach on this one. It's a matter of riding out the storm. | lanarkian
19/12/2007 11:33 | t1ps tipped ambr at 3 1/2p when it was golden prospect. the multi baggers make up for the odd dud. imho | drago
18/12/2007 21:52 | Thanks bingo, very interesting and useful and it supports the general research I've done. All shares are risky investments in this market but I firmly believe that Ambrian's upside more than out ways it's downside (it could slip a few more pence but long term it could easily double). I'm willing to take the risk and stay put. | luckythedog
18/12/2007 12:54 | Lanarkin Dosen't that put you off a bit? T1ps have a poor record, they rarely use stop losses and get things spectacularly wrong,I could name a dozen stocks they have tipped in the past which now are pretty much worthless. I bet they are still reccomending 'holding' MIO (minco) some 'silver play' that turned out to be 5 years latter. | traderabc |
