They are just giving you the heads up that there may be some positive analysts reports when they write up their visit. Good time to buy?

The recent Allenby report was very positive about AMA getting funding (the old link (on first-columbus) is down.)

It's also comforting the PEA had decent NPV even at $1100 gold, and should be helped by today's upgrade.

More news coverage will help..

I would stare at the quality of the building and its foundations, rather than focusing on the Wallpaper

Whether inflation or deflation wins this battle, Rickards points out...

If inflation wins, then it will take more paper dollars to buy an ounce of gold. And if deflation wins, then the price of gold will move higher to break that deflation.

The Fed is petrified of deflation, and obviously wants inflation, and at the same time it appears Yellen genuinely believes QE can improve Job numbers.

October is certainly going to be interesting, and then in November comes the big
vote in Switzerland to stop Gold sales and repatriate their missing Gold, that they don't even know any longer -exists.

No doubt the pressure, blackmail and threats from certain quarters will be immense to stop that Smoking Gun from firing its full load, most especially
on "missing Gold" as there are no doubt immense tonnages of "missing Gold"
and far beyond just Germany`s.

"The Options may be exercised between the third and the tenth anniversary of the Grant Date and are exercisable at a price of 24.00p per share, being the closing midmarket price on Friday 05 September 2014. "

"The new grant of options ensures that the Executive Directors and senior management team are incentivised to deliver strong share price growth through the advancement of the Yaoure Gold Project..."

I'm sorry, but those two sentences do not belong together...

how can you incentivise people to deliver STRONG SHARE PRICE growth when the options are at the price already? Price them at 40-50p and then maybe...

Options - to give the directors an incentive. They are already well paid. Kick in the teeth for shareholders. Hardly an ambitious price.

The point being made about CNR and AMA is that they are takeover targets in which case they won't need to raise capital.

Another one mentioned recently that has an existing reputation for efficient operation and has a potentially low cost development in Peru, fully permitted etc, is Minera IRL (MIRL). The impediment is the same in each of these three cases (AMA, CNR, MIRL) - difficulty in raising capital on realistic terms.

All the right signs coming from AMA recently with today's director purchase RNS giving added comfort. If you look at how CNR's share price has recovered in the last 3 months in expectation of important news this month it just shows what can happen here. CNR was 72p at the beginning of June and closed yesterday at 112p which is a 55% rise but like AMA is still way below where it was a couple of years ago.

That's why the IC highlighted AMA a couple of weeks ago as it's top mining takeover target. It ticked all the boxes not least of which is the low cost of production so still viable with a lower gold price.
If your interested the second choice was Condor Gold CNR which also ticks all the boxes and has important news due this month.

I assume the theory is that lower prices will cause the closure of higher cost operations and encourage the major operators to invest in potentially lower cost ones.

Interesting that the CEO implies in the webcast that a lower gold price will accelerate a take out/farm in by one of the big producers.

If you don't believe that Central Bankers can suppress the gold price forever, then AMA today must surely now be a one way bet, and increasingly so. What a tremendous bargain for those who can look long term. The only caveat is if they are swallowed up before their true potential is unlocked.
