18/11/2024 21:13 | Gold up nicely today, on the back of the threat of nuclear Holocaust... | excellance
18/11/2024 10:07 | I should buy a few more before ship leaves the harbour. Not many days weeks before share price doubles at least. Could quadruple if management gives more insight to operations, let's see what happens in next few weeks . | louie2010
18/11/2024 09:19 | Once investors start buying then share price will rocket how many have you bought at these low prices. | louie2010
18/11/2024 08:50 | When you look at the size of the resource here and the gold price. How is this not well over 1000p? | gregpeck7
18/11/2024 08:07 | RR are you trading Big Macs already maybe having a Xmas party . Share price should rocket soon so it be Big Mac bonanza by new year. | louie2010
16/11/2024 06:26 | Yes that’s true, absolutely agree about being prudent. But of course they have more options now given much greater FCF and access to bank and bond finance. | tim000
16/11/2024 01:32 | Ambitious maybe, but more cautious than ambitious. The way they mined the open pit for years and only slowly developed the deep mine using very modest profits over a decade, and only resorted to a loan at the point where the deep mine was ready for mining. The directors clearly weren't interested in letting ambition get the better of them and risk losing the lot. | excellance
15/11/2024 17:51 | New projects need not result in a capital raising. For example we could become a minority shareholder and operator of existing mines, in return for providing capital equipment, management and some cash. It’s clear the family value the current business highly and won’t give it away. But equally they’re ambitious to expand, I’m sure they’ll do a good job for all shareholders. | tim000
15/11/2024 17:46 | More peaceful times makes sense in particular. And there I was thinking the drop in the gold price was as good old Louie was liquidating his gold holdings. | researchcentre123
15/11/2024 17:36 | I think over the next year we will see ALTN revenues increase significantly and we've already seen some of that, but operating costs will have only increased modestly, meaning profit growth should be exponential. The new level of profit should allow us to pay down debt quickly and still allow development of TS. We really don't want any partnership arrangements with new projects until our share price is a multiple of days value. I can't wait to read the drilling report from TS and see the plan for multiple open pits and moves to deep mine in a decade or so. Very exciting year ahead. | excellance
15/11/2024 11:54 | The 10 year note interest rates affect gold price. | bsg
15/11/2024 11:35 | The recent “drop” you refer to is a mere 7%. Expect $2200 In the 5 years before 2024 gold ranged $2000 - $1600 ie 20% Going forward the same 20% range is $2750 - $2200 A 20% range in any uptrend is normal | trader465
15/11/2024 11:26 | I think part of it is reduced risk of escalating wars in the Middle East and Ukraine. | tim000
15/11/2024 11:14 | I'm not sure how trump affects gold price. I guess there's likely to be an economic boom there in the US so that's a reason to invest there instead of gold but I see the biggest buyers have been India and China and I think they are a bit wary now of putting all their eggs in one basket with the US dollar in case it gets taken. In a way the world of private offshore banking for those in dangerous parts of the world has vanished which I think is largely why crypto does so well and I see gold as a more safe alternative for people with such problems. I got into this share when the gold price was 1600 dollars and mining cost 600 and profits crazy relative to sp, as they still are, so I think this is still very safe - actually getting more so. But I'd be interested in the rationale as to recent drop IE who is selling gold at the moment | researchcentre123
15/11/2024 08:41 | Gold is $2565 which is great for us as discussed a while back, these are bonanza prices at the moment. Even $2000 is good. $1400 would still be profitable, but will we ever see $1400 again? | excellance
15/11/2024 08:08 | I think there’s a good chance of transformational news by Monday 2 December or thereabouts. Gold has slipped back a little, but less in £ terms. | tim000
15/11/2024 07:55 | We are still in an upward channel even if we have dropped off a bit. Good time add? | excellance
14/11/2024 14:24 | 1 sold at 212. Louie's having a big Mac today. | researchcentre123
14/11/2024 12:50 | Wow, about 9000 shares traded today. Someone sold 5000 at 217.2p | excellance
14/11/2024 09:24 | Well I suppose gold has had a good 5000 year run.... | researchcentre123
14/11/2024 08:41 | why I'm not too concerned about the future of gold: According to the latest Treasury data released today, in October - the first month of fiscal 2025 - the US spent a massive $584.2 billion, a 24.3% increase from the prior year In the most recent fiscal year (from October 2023 to September 2024) the US federal government spent $6.75 trillion (£5.3 trillion) according to the US Treasury, external. Around $880bn (13% of total US government spending) goes on interest payments on the national debt, which means that line of expenditure cannot be reduced without putting the US government in default. | pensionplanner
13/11/2024 18:52 | Sure, check back in 3 years time in that case. | 78steve
13/11/2024 12:20 | Took some yesterday and continuing to add this is a steal. | gregpeck7 |
