Hi GB9, yes the news (such as it is) has been overlooked on ADVFN for the last 6 months - what I really strange on ADVFN is the the News Flag appears, but not the actual News text...... I am now using the Co. Website to view the news, tightfist

There is some kind of a problem with the RNS news alerts for ALTN.

They are not coming through on investegate or on ADVFN, nor LSE.

For ADVFN I'm signed up to regulatory and non-regulatory notifications but nothing comes through.

Yet there is news via the LSE site and businesswire.

Any idea what is going on there?

Considering you only joined ADVFN as Louie2010 in March 2024, its difficult to see how you posted 17 years ago, which from Louie 2010 in itself is only 14 years ago, or perhaps the 2010 is birth year, which explains a fair bit. Youth is wasted on the young. Good luck either way.

You also seem to contradict yourself, as your first post here in March 2024 comments: "15 years of seeing my investment fall thanks to clowns running this company"

Amusing nonetheless.

Transport costs can be a killer for miners, especially if they are isolated away from mains power, rail, port and road infrastructure.

I expect energy prices to rise significantly in the west if war is confirmed between Iran and the aligned states because of shipping risks.

Thanks for the reminder KS; I was always surprised by the unacceptable "transport cost" observation. To reduce risk, I would have thought open-pit and initial trucking would have been part of a phased intro plan, before processing Capex is committed (just like SRB is doing in a different continent. They may even reduce trucking cost by deploying an Ore Sorter!) tightfist

From the 2020-21 annual results:

"In order to build up a reliable profile of the site, verification results are being constantly mapped against existing data. During 2020 the Company successfully processed the first batch of test ore amounting to 1,794t, resulting in an average grade of 1.8g/t and a recovery rate of 81%. These were very encouraging results and a significant step in moving forward with the project. It is expected that the initial extraction of ore will be via open pit workings, with the use of some of the existing open pit equipment which has been mothballed at Sekisovskoye, and further equipment being purchased as necessary. The ore extracted is expected to be processed by a separate plant to be built at Teren-Sai, thus avoiding transport costs to Sekisovskoye and keeping the unit cost of production at a reasonable level.

In addition to Area No.2 exploration work was expanded to Area No.1 and new zone identified as Area No.5. In Area No.1, 13 prospective drilling profiles were conducted, the analysis of the results was encouraging and further core drilling is to be undertaken in 2021. In relation to Area No. 5, the meterage drilled was 3,886m with 17 drill holes which identified 11 ore intersections. Sampled grades over four of the holes ranged from 1.4g/t to 2.4g/t and further work is planned in this area in 2021.

The Company also commenced topographic work over 50km2 to gain a better understanding of the site and the potential to develop the area, the work will be completed during 2021."

And:

"Mining operations at Teren- Sai are planned to run in parallel to Sekisovskoye development and will initially include surface mining at Area No.2 before moving underground at a later stage. It is envisaged that at the initial costs of open pit operations can be kept low by making use of the existing equipment as far as possible. The significant expenditure relates to the planned Teren-Sai processing plant which will be a conventional carbon-in-leach (“CIL”) gold recovery plant, similar to the existing one at the neighbouring Sekisovskoye Mine."

Hi, my reading of the RNS is that commencement of TS mining open-pit mining is possible within the two year expiration contract, it's only contingent upon "as soon as there is sufficient data". Like you, I would prefer that they concentrate on the capacities expansion/delivery at Seli. .Incidentally the news flow through Investegate seem to have dried-up for the last year - anyone else? tightfist

It just means further drilling in the next two years, then, maybe, mine development.

It means we retain the licenses but no development yet, and no need for capex for at least two years for TS.

It means that the company can focus on Seki development without distraction and any need to dilute.

My guess is that in two years time our bank balance will be very robust.
