ODR, yes $index has broken decisively below its 10 year rising trend lower resistance, so hopefully it gradually falls towards 85. That, in itself, will add around $200 to the current gold price.

Gold price is key to watch. It fell below the 200SMA at $1812 but was heavily oversold. Interestingly , yesterday’s big rise candle met resistance at the 200 SMA but pushed above it today. Ideally, I’d like to see another decent white candle tomorrow but having risen $50 in 2 days , it might pause.

The 50 and 200 SMA lines at nearing a point of criticality ; we either get a golden cross shortly ( v bullish for another big up leg) or a death cross ( v bearish).

Gold price is key....

Well, the company consolidated in order to make our shares more appealing to investors.

They've also decided to rename the company for the same reason.

Therefore it follows that we will see a relaunch, supported with solid news, glossy presentations, and perhaps some kind of link up, partnership, new investor, to get the party swinging.

But when?

I wouldn't bother waiting for a Q3 report. Highly unlikely it will come now and, if it did, it would be the first for a while I believe. But I wouldn't read that as negative news. For most companies, yes, but this is ALTN. I am not sure that time even operates in the same way for ALTN (probably caused by the large gravitational force of their assets).

Well we had one big holder who sold out at 3p to take profits ... the effect is obvious to see in the chart

Me, selling half my holding, would no doubt see the price double with immediate effect.

That said, if I were to sell out completely it would surely send the share price into the stratosphere..!

The market is very happy to take large lines of ALTN shares despite the share price fall, always a good sign, at some point the coiled spring will be released.

Yes I tend to agree that having invested at 3p average (as claimed by people on here who know better than me), after all these years and all the stress (and no divis to keep them happy) I would doubt the Assurbayevs would sell for less than doubling their money ie 6p. That's still only $200M for millions of ounces of gold reserves and resources (including a working and profitable mine), which is a very reasonable price in the current gold price environment, and an absolute bargain if the POG moves sustainably above $2000.NAI

Can’t see the family settling for less than £200 million for selling majority stake. That’s 5x current share price but is doable, if they get production up to sustainable 50,000 oz + , to hand over an asset that a major can exploit with further investment.
Let’s face it, the 2 licences could be mined at 200,000 oz/ year for the next 25 years.
That’s around £9 billion gross revenue at current prices!

Looks like they have done a deal on the name. Registered office of Altyngold Ltd now changed from Splott in Cardiff to Altyn Plc Co Secretary's (Basra) office address at 32 High Street, Rickmansworth.

Change of co name as envisaged, new web address and hopefully updated website and more news soon.
